A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With the transfer portal calmed down, for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

Next in this series, I'll discuss Division II-AAA quarterbacks. Here's a scouting report of my top signal callers in DII-AAA.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='939950' first='Keegan' last='Croucher'] – Baylor School

[player_tooltip player_id='939950' first='Keegan' last='Croucher'] comes to Baylor after playing for Chesire Academy (CT) for the past three seasons, where he was incredibly productive. In 31 career games heading, the 2027 prospect totaled 6,975 yards and 68 touchdowns to just 12 turnovers.

He's a consensus four-star quarterback nationally and is committed to the Ole Miss Rebels. Croucher is an incredibly talented player who will automatically come in and be the best quarterback in this classification.

The rising senior possesses great size, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 210 pounds in a strong frame, but has the space to fill out. His arm talent is impressive, to say the least, as he can make every throw on the field regardless of where he is. The 2027 prospect thrives in the pocket but shows the ability to leave it and still make tremendous and accurate throws on the move.

Croucher has a big arm, completing several throws of 50+ yards last season with Chesire Academy. His accuracy takes a back seat to none, with a high football IQ and the ability to improvise at an elite level.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='834810' first='Crews' last='Jenkins'] – Brentwood Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='834810' first='Crews' last='Jenkins'] took over as Brentwood Academy's starting quarterback as a junior and had an impressive season for a first-year starter. He led them to an 11-1 finish and an appearance in the state title game, while showing the ability to come up clutch when his team needed it most.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal caller has all the necessary tools to be a top player in Tennessee. He's extremely accurate, has excellent pocket awareness, sound technique and can make every throw on the field.

The rising senior is also relatively mobile and can extend plays, whether that's scrambling or eluding defenders to throw downfield. He's a very good player who doesn't get the respect that he deserves, but Jenkins has another opportunity to prove people wrong with a final season of high school ball.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='496084' first='Mack' last='Bartholomew'] – Knoxville Catholic

Rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='496084' first='Mack' last='Bartholomew'] is one of the more underrated signal callers in this class. He's raw in certain areas, but has all the necessary physical tools and skills to break out as a top player in Tennessee.

He has good size, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds in a well-built frame. Bartholomew has excellent athleticism and mobility, allowing him to be used in several different ways. While he has the speed and burst to outrun many people, he doesn't abuse that ability. The rising senior is a patient runner, only using his wheels when he absolutely must.

The 2027 prospect shows some impressive stuff on tape as a passer. Bartholomew has nice arm talent, capable of making nearly every throw on the field with his strong arm, good touch and accuracy. He's also a smart player, with the pocket presence to avoid sacks and extend plays in or out of the pocket.

Photo: MBA QB Charlie Verner during a game. Photo from his Instagram.

2028 Charlie Verner – Montgomery Bell Academy

Charlie Verner is a highly talented quarterback who goes under the radar when discussing the top players at the position. He shared the backfield with Southern Miss 2026 signee [player_tooltip player_id='688833' first='Hugh' last='Price'], but will be the full-time guy with the former Big Red signal caller graduating.

The new starter is one of the more dynamic players in Tennessee, with the potential to become an elite in-state player. Verner is undersized, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 175 pounds, but has an athletic build that allows him to be used in a multitude of ways. He's a dual-threat guy with the ability to change the game as a runner, as he's extremely quick, shifty and hard to bring down due to his athleticism.

As a passer, he has some growing to do, but the potential is certainly there. Verner can make off-platform throws, puts serious velocity on his passes and throws with anticipation. It's not as consistent as you'd like, but his accuracy is lethal at times, and he's just getting better.

The rising junior must improve in certain areas, but once he does, he will be one of the best QBs in Tennessee. He has the raw physical tools, and a small sample size of putting it together; it just needs to become more consistent.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1036114' first='Cayden' last='Dixon'] – Briarcrest Christian School

[player_tooltip player_id='1036114' first='Cayden' last='Dixon'] announced his transfer to Briarcrest Christian the day after Christmas, which is one of the biggest offseason moves for any classification. There's a lot to like about the rising junior quarterback, as he is the complete package for high school football, with high upside at the next level.

The 2028 prospect offers solid size for his age and position, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 195 pounds, with a well-built frame that allows him to be physical when necessary. Dixon is a pass-first quarterback. However, he will take off at times, and he's dangerous with his feet.

The signal caller has nice arm talent, including a live, but accurate arm that helps him make every throw. He's excellent at deep-ball passes, consistently hitting receivers in stride, showing great anticipation for when to throw and the ability to place it where only his guy can get it.

Dixon is an accurate player in general, even excelling at off-balance throws. His pocket awareness is solid, with good technique and a high football IQ, making him one of the best at his position in Tennessee.
