Nobody in the state over the past two years has been more productive than Marable and it’s only fitting he leaves his high school career as Mr. Football and our Prep Redzone Tennessee D2-Class AA player of the year. This future Ivy League quarterback had a sensational senior campaign where he threw for 3,900 yards and 57 touchdowns while also producing 636 yards rushing and another 15 scores. Marable generated 72 total touchdowns as a senior, which has to be a season record (Our record books haven’t been updated yet). It was a banner year for Marable and one that will go down as one of the best individual season performances of all-time.

Named a finalist as a junior, Marable broke through this year to take home “Mr. Football” after a sensational senior year that saw this future Columbia quarterback lead his Wildcats team to a D2-Class AA football championship. I think it was without question Marable was going to win this top honor prior to Chattanooga but after he produced 7 touchdowns in the title game win, “Mr. Football” was his to lose. The Wildcats signal caller had a banner senior year that saw him throw for 3,767 yards and 56 scores while rushing for 655 yards and another 15 touchdowns. Marable produced one of the better individual seasons of all time and now you can see this Mid-Tennessee work his magic in the Ivy League sometime in the near future.

Marable might have had the best individual performance of the day as he produced seven total touchdowns in his team’s title game win over Franklin Road Academy. This future Ivy Leaguer had 61 yards on the ground while generating 384 yards through the air. He was definitely a difference maker against the Panthers defense with a well earned and highly productive MVP performance in his final high school game.

Was there any doubt that Marable would be the player of the game after his unreal performance? The senior signal caller accounted for 445 total yards and seven touchdowns in a blowout victory over FRA.
He not only put up big numbers but was highly efficient doing so. The Columbia signee is a true dual-threat player who’s outstanding both through the air and on the ground. He dominated this game and is the main reason why BGA is the Division II-AA State Champs.
