Winning football games and producing at a high level is something Perkins did consistently throughout his high school career as was the case during his senior year. The Jaguars and future Austin Peay quarterback had a sensational final campaign at Southwind where Perkins generated 2,876 yards through the air and 42 touchdowns along with rushing for 1,361 yards and another 27 scores. Finding the end zone is something Perkins has a nose for as he produced 69 touchdowns in total by his arm and legs alone. It was a great final high school showing for Perkins that also displayed his potential in college with Austin Peay, where I think he can learn and find his way on the field early with the Governors.

is an exciting quarterback prospect with true dual-threat abilities, accounting for over 4,000 yards and 69 touchdowns.
He is undersized, but has a lively arm with touch and accuracy that can fit the ball into tighter windows downfield.
As a rusher, he is explosive and shifty, which makes him incredibly hard to bring down and can extend plays.
Austin Peay is getting a dual-threat quarterback prospect that can make explosive plays happen when directing an offense.

Playing on the 6A level proved to be no problem at all for this future Austin Peay quarterback as Perkins left Nashville on Tuesday as a two time “Mr. Football” winner. As a sophomore, Perkins won “Mr. Football” honors as a 5A player but can now say he has won the award in two different classifications. The Jaguars signal caller took home 6A honors this Fall after a stellar senior year that saw him pass for over 2,800 yards and 42 touchdowns while producing another 27 scores on the ground. Perkins produced a total of 69 touchdowns on the year while leading his Jaguars team to a semifinal placement in the 6A playoffs. I fully expect Perkins to continue his playmaking ways at Austin Peay and someone that could take the starting job early in his college career.
