Metro Detroit is the #1 recruiting hotbed in Michigan. In the class of 2028, there are several QBs worth keeping an eye on. Here's who I have my eye on right now!

Aerrion is a super intriguing prospect from River Rouge. His highlights prove that he's a much more polished QB than most in this class.

His tape begins with an absolute strike on the run. Most QBs in this class couldn't dream of throwing that ball accurately, let along having the arm strength to throw it 40 yards downfield. A few other highlights show good short passes to the boundary. Plus, a few good rushing highlights.

Tape reminds me a lot of other River Rouge QBs. Time will tell if Aerrion starts next year!

[player_tooltip player_id='1198774' first='Caiden' last='Hodge'] was able to run the Davison offense well as a freshman. Watching his tape, Caiden was obvious upside but it's still apparent that he's a freshman QB with a lot of room to grow.

His first two highlights show good, accurate deep balls. I like the accuracy, but he still gives the ball a tad too much arc, and the velocity isn't there yet. Much of his tape also shows Caiden rolling out and delivering accurate throws on the run- a staple of the Davison offense. Finally, I have to draw attention to the highlight at 0:19. Amazing job at shedding those arm tackles and completing that pass.

Love the foundation. Caiden could start by the 2026 season.

I've seen Dom a few times in person. He's a great young QB who has been working his tail off for quite a while. His biggest issue currently is size. Though, this past season, he made the absolute most of his opportunity. For one, he has a great arm. His tape begins with an excellent redzone fade. Dom's second highlight shows him delivering an accurate ball with pressure crashing down on him. High-level stuff. Lastly, Dom is way ahead of the curve when it comes to IQ.

As long as Dom continues to grow (both physically and mentally), he'll be a great KLAA QB in no time. Too early to rank or pinpoint college projection, though.

Gavin has great freshman tape and could be on his way to a ranking.

He's way ahead of the curve when it comes to arm talent and mechanics. I especially like his ability to make off-schedule throws. Several highlights show Gavin rolling out of the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield, and eventually throwing a strike to an open receiver. That said, his ability to throw off-platform is great.

I'd like to see more throws from the pocket, and I'd like to see his time-to-throw trimmed down. Other than that, great foundation.

Liam has a chance to be the best QB Dakota has seen in a while. His highlights show a good mix of athletic ability and arm talent. Liam's tape kicks off with an improvised 23-yard 4th-down TD run- good athleticism and decent elusiveness shown there. Then, his tape shows a couple of great deep balls to the right side of the field. Especially on the second throw, I love Liam's quick release.

Love the upside here. Like I said, Liam has a chance to be great, especially considering the competition in the MAC Red. Can't wait to evaluate Liam when he eventually becomes QB1!

Miles is still a pretty raw prospect, but on-par with most "good" class of 2028 QBs. His tape shows a handful of promising throws. His short-range throws are all quite good- I like the velocity and accuracy. However, throwing to the intermediate-long range exposes some accuracy issues. It doesn't help that he's on the run for a lot of those throws.

The main area that Miles needs to improve is his throwing motion. Needs to be more consistent and more comfortable with slinging the football.

A class of 2028 QB who seems to be working very hard this offseason. I can't find any highlights from the 2024 season, but he has a handful of clips on Twitter from the past couple of months.

First off, Ryan's mechanics are consistent. Still a few things to clean up but they are consistent- can't say that about too many QBs in this class. In addition, I like the velocity behind his throws.

An overall good freshman prospect who could earn Varsity time next season if the cards fall in his favor.

I could see Stone starting for North Farmington's Varsity team next season!

His highlights are great. Mainly, way better mechanics and throw power than most Class of 2028 prospects. Stone especially good on the run- lots of moments where he evades pressure and delivers a strike to an open receiver.

Looking forward to watching Stone at a camp this offseason. Could definitely be ranked come next update.
