Class of 2028: On the Rise

Our class of 2028 is loaded with talent! Just below the top names are a handful of athletes rising up the ranks and are just about ready to jump into that top tier. Below are some of the 2028's you need to know as they continue ascending up the rankings!    I am really impressed with what Kamerin put out this season. He lined up all over the defensive line, and was an absolute playmaker. He was a menace to deal with, often getting off the line quickly and making the offensive linemen try to anchor down, but it was often too late. He has a great initial punch and the motor to chase down ball carriers. He reacts quickly and knows how to counter what the offense is trying to do. He has a developing rip move that had a couple of nice results for him. I have set a goal to watch some of his games back from this season and get a better understanding of his game, but to me he is definitely one to keep an eye on!     Cass Tech is no stranger to developing offensive linemen, and Baker is looking like another big-time prospect. He is incredibly strong, often overpowering defensive linemen with overwhelming strength. He was money in the redzone, as he was able to fire low and quick off the ball and drive his opponent out of the play. When pulling, he has a good first step and builds momentum quickly, allowing him to lay a jarring hit. In the passing game, he has good feet and a strong base, and when uncovered, he goes hunting for someone to punish. I love his game and love the trajectory he is currently on.     Watching his highlights from this season, you see flashes of an absolute star. Playing that OLB position, he has the speed to track the ball down, as well as the strength to shimmy off of blocks to make plays. He does a phenomenal job of breaking down and making tackles in open space. His instincts are advanced which allows him to sniff things out quicker than a lot of LBs at this level. I have faith that he will keep developing and be a highly sought after prospect.     Cameron put up a really solid product on film this past season. He's a stout end that stays low and does a great job of anchoring down and holding his own when setting the edge. Even against some good offensive linemen, they have a hard time moving him out of the way. He needs that little bit of extra explosion out of the stance and he could become an absolutely elite EDGE guy. He's in a system that develops them at a high rate, so I won't be at all surprised to see him develop into an absolute dude.     Drew took a huge step in 2025 and was a dangerous weapon for Grand Haven. His concentration and ability to make plays in traffic is off the charts. Week after week he was making contested grabs for huge chunk plays. His hands are special, and his route running is solid. He doesn't lean and tip off his route, and there isn't much wasted movement when he changes direction. He should provide a reliable target again in 2026, with some added speed and explosiveness to his game.
