I like Matthews’ trajectory. Standing at 6’0″ 205, this is a Quarterback with true dual-threat upside at the high school level. His freshman season tape shows a willingness to run the ball and flashes some ability as a pocket passer.
I like Matthews’ running style. He isn’t too flashy, and normally stays true to the structure of the play. Follows his blocks, runs north-south, and does his best to run through arm tackles. This kind of efficiency will translate well into higher levels of competition.
Aerrion is still developing as a passer. His mechanics are coming along, and his offseason work looks a bit better than his fall tape. Same with accuracy- a great foundation. Aerrion has absolutely earned a ranking, and I’m incredibly excited to see how he develops in the coming years.

Aerrion is a super intriguing prospect from River Rouge. His highlights prove that he’s a much more polished QB than most in this class.
His tape begins with an absolute strike on the run. Most QBs in this class couldn’t dream of throwing that ball accurately, let along having the arm strength to throw it 40 yards downfield. A few other highlights show good short passes to the boundary. Plus, a few good rushing highlights.
Tape reminds me a lot of other River Rouge QBs. Time will tell if Aerrion starts next year!
