7v7 football in Minnesota is growing. PrepRedzoneMN wanted to be nowhere else besides the Eden Prairie Dome for some 7v7 action on a Friday night, and last night's was a doozy. In what was one of the most talented 7v7 events in Minnesota so far this offseason, the likes of E7United, Minnesota Elite, MN Go Get It, and The Hitmen converged on the Eden Prairie Dome with their 15U and 18U squads, bringing around triple-digit Minnesota prep athletes to the southwest suburb of Minneapolis for a clash of high-energy competition. The Dome was alive with enthusiasm, and the kids came to play, bringing with them some big plays and electric individual performances from five different graduating classes in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. PrepRedzoneMN has your exclusive coverage from the night's Standouts and Top Performers below!

--

Alpha: Isaiah Winston (Holy Angels) 2025. Minnesota Elite. WR/TE/LB. 6'3, 215 lbs. @isaiahwinston29

Owning a first-off-the-bus type of build, Holy Angels' senior playmaker Isaiah Winston was a familiar name and a sight for sore eyes at the Eden Prairie Dome. A legit 6'3, 210+ with long arms, broad shoulders, a muscular build, room to grow, and a versatile skillset that played on both sides of the ball for MN Elite, Winston had one of the better individual showings of any Minnesotan I saw in-person last season, despite seeing the Stars Week 1 against Minneapolis North. A playmaker on both sides of the ball with a can't-miss frame and a ton of dynamic athleticism, Winston was and still is a big-time sleeper on the recruiting trail who is very much under the radar and could make a collegiate coach look very smart to round out their 2025 class. However, he was listed as "Isaiah Bird-Winston", so I didn't find any social media on him, and his film didn't get updated until around the New Year, so he somewhat dropped off our radar as we were rounding out the 2025 rankings. Well, not anymore! His up-close-and-personal showing unpadded last night was also an A showing, and as the biggest and most athletic player on the field, he was an obvious choice for the Alpha of last night's 7v7 action. A fluid and natural route runner with some shiftiness at the top of the route, Winston owns a huge catch radius and strong hands that can pluck the ball out of the air with authority and win receptions through contact and tight contests from DBs and LBs. He could unlock his hips defensively, play with physicality in pass coverage, and showed good range for a 6'3, 210+ lber. as well. He caught a couple TDs throughout the night and got open consistently, including in the redzone, and you could see and feel defenders react and hesitate due to his sheer size and physical presence. Someone PLEASE hit this dude up. There's a scholarship kid waiting for some attention in AHA's senior class.

Biggest Stock Riser: [player_tooltip player_id='1715725' first='Connor' last='Moen'] (Mankato West) 2029! MN Go Get It. 6'2, ? pounds.

It was a good day for scouting young bucks on Friday night, and the city of Mankato has produced a rising freshman (!) very much worth getting excited about. Running with the MN Go Get It 15U and playing against competition multiple years older than himself, Moen still was an eye-catcher physically, sporting a big body with long arms and a ton of room to fill in, and his smooth COD ability was impressive as well as effective against man coverage. He displayed soft hands that could reel in catches away from his body and fully extended, and he was effective at the top of the route with some 50/50 ball ability as well. Moen also had a nice PBU in which he shot out of his breaks with noticeable quickness, looking just as comfortable on the defensive side of the ball. The dynamic athleticism, easy and consistent production throughout the night against high school underclassmen, already impressive size, and the fact he's coming out of a town with an established tradition of talented and developed high school prospects has me very excited about this young man's future. You'll be hearing more about [player_tooltip player_id='1715725' first='Connor' last='Moen'] soon!

Top Performers

Zion Davis (Lakeville North) 2028. WR/DB. MN Go Get It. 5'9, 180 lbs. @ZionDavis2028

A dominant presence in the 15U ranks for MN Go Get It, Zion Davis hails from Lakeville North High School and displays a thick, muscular build at a solid 5'9, 180-ish that was more put together than your typical high school freshman. Davis was a playmaker on both sides of the ball for MN Go Get It, popping off some of the bigger plays of the evening in the 15U ranks, including multiple TDs and INTs worthy of a highlight reel on Instagram. Davis' body control was obvious when playing the ball in the air, opening the tournament with a beautiful back-shoulder snag for six. He also made a couple of great catches by high-pointing the rock out of the air with noticeable bounce and coordination, and he showed great hands through contact and contests as well. I also loved his shiftiness and quickness at the top of the route, and he could consistently get open and separate against man coverage from all three opposing teams throughout the night. Davis just had a knack for big plays, and his physical maturation and athleticism seemed well above his peers at the 15U level. Looking forward to getting this kid on the inaugural 2028 rankings soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='725721' first='Thor' last='Soukup'] (Wayzata) 2027. QB. E7United. 6'2, 225 lbs. @thor_soukup

An already popular and must-know name in the 2027 class, sophomore gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='725721' first='Thor' last='Soukup'] is the biggest brick of a quarterback I've seen come out of Minnesota, measuring in at a legitimate 6'2, 225+ and only getting bigger. I heard through the grapevine that the recent Maple Grove transfer is weighing in at around 230 pounds and has recently pumped out a 440 pound squat, mind-boggling numbers for an underclassman QB prospect, and he's a can't-miss prospect - padded or unpadded - who passes the eye test with flying colors. We've covered him in-depth this offseason, and he had another good showing for this exposure point on a Friday night in Eden Prairie. Soukup throws the ball with as much zip and velocity as any underclassman QB I've seen, and was able to fit the ball into the tight windows and put the ball on an absolute rope all around the gridiron. He threw a nice slot fade later in the evening that caught my eye as well. Soukup noticeably elevated the E7United WR corps on Friday night and had his offense humming as well. There's a reason he got a Junior Day invite to Minnesota last month.

[player_tooltip player_id='551393' first='Maurice' last='Brown'] (St. Cloud Apollo) 2025. WR. Minnesota Elite. 5'10, 175 lbs. @maurice2fast

One of the best unsigned senior wideouts in Minnesota, Brown is a former PrepRedzoneMN Showcase MVP whose dynamic athleticism, natural route-running ability, and playmaking ability on both sides of the ball were firmly on display on Friday night. He was one of the most productive and dangerous receivers in attendance, proving to be a hard-to-handle 1v1 matchup as a WR and a sticky and physical coverage corner on defense. Brown showed off great ball skills, was sticky and able to maintain phase with talented WR competition, and showed body control as a two-way playmaker. Someone needs to sign this kid!

[player_tooltip player_id='1634798' first='Kipton' last='Croatt'] (Maple Grove) 2028. QB. E7United. 5'11, 150 lbs. @kcroatt8

With the sudden departure of the aforementioned Soukup from the 6A champ's QB room, I've been very curious as to who could be stepping into the vacuum of the potential heir to rising three-year starter [player_tooltip player_id='489731' first='Kaden' last='Harney']. Well, I think we got a frontrunner in freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1634798' first='Kipton' last='Croatt'], who showed great command of the football on Friday night running with E7United. Croatt had some of the best throws of the evening, regardless of class, with impressive ball placement, quick processing and decision-making, and the ability to sling it to all three levels of the field. Big name to watch in the freshman QB class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255132' first='Jay' last='Sanders'] (Minneapolis North) 2026. WR. The Hitmen 7v7. 5'9, 165 lbs. @JayJiggyyy

Sanders only played in three games during the all-important junior season due to a knee injury that required surgery, so I was stoked to get some eyes on the Minneapolis North product post-surgery and in a 7v7 setting. Well, Sanders looks as good as new despite some setbacks, with his quick-twitch prowess on full display and some serious speed on the perimeter, taking the top off the defense for an easy deep shot TD with his Hitmen 7v7 squad. Sanders looks like he's been attacking the offseason weight room and is reaping the rewards for his efforts. I'd expect him to generate some momentum on the camp circuit this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='551337' first='Da'vion' last='Jackson'] (St. Cloud Apollo) 2025. CB. Minnesota Elite. 6'2, 160 lbs.

Apollo's [player_tooltip player_id='551337' first='Da'vion' last='Jackson'] could be a big-time senior steal at the CB position for a prospective college program. Jackson, with great size and length, was effective and disruptive in both press coverage and at the catch point. He was aggressive in coverage, with physicality all over his game, and he was quick out of his breaks and overall sticky and competitive with routes to the first and second level of the field. Jackson had multiple impressive PBUs and was playing with a fiery, high-energy, competitive playstyle that helped make some key stops for his Minnesota Elite defense. No Twitter I could find, so hit up Apollo's coaches or look on Instagram for the unsigned senior CB.

[player_tooltip player_id='923834' first='Godson' last='Rufus-Okomhanru'] (Mounds View) WR/DB. The Hitmen 7v7. 6', 180 lbs. @GOkomhanru

The most high-profile recruit in attendance, I had no clue that Mounds View's [player_tooltip player_id='923834' first='Godson' last='Rufus-Okomhanru'] was running with The Hitmen 7v7 squad, but boy was I glad to see him on the offseason trail. Fresh off an offer from FBS Kent State, the D1 offeree - who also has heard from NDSU - Rufus-Okomhanru looked cut up and muscular at 6', 180, and he was the most explosive wideout in attendance despite not seeing any targets, at least from what I saw. He was giving corners fits on the perimeter when going vertically, and I could see 18U DBs hard-pressed and in full chase mode trying to keep up with him, The Mounds View Mustang was also rangy in pass defense from his high safety spot and was overall passing the eye test on Friday night in Eden Prairie.

Honorable Mentions

[player_tooltip player_id='1665895' first='Windlan' last='Hall'] (Eden Prairie) 2027. WR. MN Go Get It. 5'9, 150 lbs. @WindlanHall

Playing on some home turf, Eden Prairie junior [player_tooltip player_id='1665895' first='Windlan' last='Hall'] was a smooth and dangerous receiving option who primarily worked out of the slot with MN Go Get It, as well as next to his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1665851' first='Maddox' last='Mulder']. Hall was sure-handed, used quick footwork to get open, and was a fluid athlete with some positional versatility as well. He plays DB for Eden Prairie, which included significant varsity minutes in 2024, so I wish I got to see him play some man coverage, but I like how he moves and changes direction, not to mention varsity snaps with the vaunted EP defense as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665851' first='Maddox' last='Mulder'] (Eden Prairie) 2027. WR. MN Go Get It. 5'10, 160 lbs. @maddox_mulder

Another EP Eagle sophomore, Mulder earned some solid praise from his coaches and was a good option at the X position who could take the top off the defense and create big plays for his offense. He had a nice TD later in the evening and showed a knack for an explosive play as a receiving option.

Cole Hammon (Andover) 2029. WR. The Hitmen 7v7. 6, 150 lbs. @cole_hammon

An 8th grader balling out against high school defenders in the 15U ranks for The Hitmen7v7, Hammon had one of the most electric plays of the evening, getting the crowd on their feet and his team's sideline rushing onto the field after he leaped high into the air to high point a football right on top of a helpless DB's outstretched arms for a huge TD pitch and catch. His ball skills and vertical ability were under the spotlight in big-time fashion. Solid size and frame on him too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049987' first='James' last='Fitch'] (Champlin Park) 2027. DB. 5'11, 160 lbs. The Hitmen 7v7. @JayPFitch

Another exposure point to Fitch, another standout performance from the Champlin Park sophomore. Fitch, who was a varsity starter for 6A Champlin Park in 2024 and tore up the Gophers prospect camp last summer during 1v1s, was bigger, more physical, more technically sound, and more athletic than his 15U competition. He was impressively athletic and effective in his short-area and COD movements, and is a serious and competitive defensive back who can be put on an island all game long.

[player_tooltip player_id='642679' first='Trace' last='Fitzgerald'] (Champlin Park) 2027. 5'7, 150 lbs. E7United. @TraceFitz4

Fitzgerald was electric after the catch, with game-breaking burst, sudden and powerful cuts and COD ability, and the speed to take the top off the defense. The YAC ability and top-end speed helped Fitzgerald pop off some impressive TD scampers and catches throughout the night. It was hard for anyone to get a hand on this kid, much less guard him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246857' first='Jack' last='Wiste'] (Centennial) 2027. QB. 6', 190 lbs. Minnesota Elite. @jackwiste1

Big, physically developed underclassman QB running against 18U competition, Wiste had some good throws throughout the night and showed he had a strong arm that could stretch the field with accuracy. Good name to watch in the developing MN 2027 Qb race.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654639' first='Zachary' last='Kremer'] (Lakeville North) 2028. QB. MN Go Get It.

A big, tall, long pocket passer quarterbacking the MN Go Get It 15U offense, Kremer was one of the taller prospects in attendance, sporting giant feet, especially in the 15U ranks, and his dad was even bigger, raising some excitement about his physical growth potential over the next three and a half years with Lakeville North. Kremer started to toss it around with accuracy a little bit once he got settled into the ball game, but was generally inconsistent, and with his size and possible physical profile, it's hard not to think about him possibly moving to TE or another position around the LOS. I trust that Lakeville North's coaching staff will get the most out the young buck either way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120533' first='Erick' last='Larkins'] (Robbinsdale Cooper) 2027. DB. The Hitmen 7v7. 5'6, 140 lbs. @Elarkins_3

Larkins was earning high praise from opposing coaches for his sticky man coverage ability, especially out of the slot, something I got to see in person at the Eden Prairie Dome. His short-area quickness and twitch were on display on both sides of the ball for The Hitmen 7v7 15U squad on Friday night. I like him out of the slot on both offense and defense.

Jack McAninch (Mankato West) 2030! QB. MN Go Get It.

Does that last name sound familiar? It should, and I am very happy to announce that there is another McAninch coming out of Mankato West soon. Only a 7th grader, Jack McAninch has seen his two older brothers head to Bemidji State and North Dakota, and like the oldest, Bart, the BSU Beaver, young buck Jack McAninch mans the QB position. McAninch was slingin' the rock around with ease well above what you'd expect from a 7th grader, with a strong enough arm to threaten and exploit defenses vertically, and he was accurate to all three levels of the field as well. I can't wait for this kid to get into the high school ranks.

[player_tooltip player_id='212361' first='Jabari' last='Strader'] (Edina) 2026. WR. The Hitmen 7v7. 6'1, 185 lbs. @StraderJabari

One of the biggest and most physically imposing receivers in attendance, Strader was a big, strong, reliable presence and receiving target who was operating underneath and primarily in the first and second levels of the field. He was a smooth route runner, displayed strong hands that could win at the catch point through contact, and had a build that looked ready for the college game. Should be a huge offseason for Edina's rising WR1.

[player_tooltip player_id='607918' first='Knox' last='Andrus'] (Cambridge-Isanti) 2028. CB/WR. Minnesota Elite. 5'10, 165 lbs. @KnoxAndrus

Andrus is one of the state's freshman I am most excited about heading into the inaugural 2028 rankings drop this month, and I got another exposure point on the Cambridge-Isanti product on Friday night. Andrus scored a TD and was on another level of athleticism than the competition, something we've confirmed through testing, so it was far from surprising to see him running away from the competition, literally.

[player_tooltip player_id='1168289' first='Blake' last='Anderson'] (Eden Prairie) 2028. QB. MN Go Get It. @BlakeAndersonQB

A young QB coming up through the Eden Prairie Eagle system, Anderson had some good throws throughout the evening and was accurate and mechanically sound for a freshman. Will be a good name to add to the upcoming 2028 rankings drop this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='620167' first='Jayden' last='Jones'] (Mahtomedi) 2026. WR. Minnesota Elite. @JonesJayden0

Got ridiculously open and caught a TD for the Minnesota Elite 18U squad and proved he could get open against a variety of defensive backs.
