The #1 player in the Class is Oak Creek's [player_tooltip player_id='998519' first='JJ' last='Chapman']. The freshman QB is an outstanding prospect. His skill set and traits are beyond his years. The combination of arm strength and pinpoint accuracy to any spot on the field is elite. His mechanics are sharp and consistent and he has the ability to retain his accuracy when he has to deliver the ball from an awkward angle or on the run. I have been able to watch JJ throw multiple times in person and the way the ball jumps out of his hand is different than I have ever seen; especially for his age. The '28 is putting in the work to get even better too in preparation for his sophomore season. JJ also is the only athlete in this Class with an offer at this time (Toledo). No question, JJ is working his way towards being a Power 4 QB. Big things ahead for the signal caller out of Oak Creek.

The top defender in the Class of 2028 is [player_tooltip player_id='1284777' first='Hendrix' last='Dawson'] out of Wisconsin Dells. The freshman DE/edge defender was a varsity contributor in his first season of HS football. The 2028 has built up an impressive frame that perfectly fits on the edge at 6'4" 245 lbs and is sure to get bigger and stronger over the coming years. The big man already possesses quick feet, balance, and agility to be able to play on the edge and corral RBs or QBs trying to elude him and get outside contain. Hendrix does really well using his length to both beat blocks and also to get into passing windows and knock down passes when he doesn't get to the QB. You have to love the effort he plays with on every snap too. Pair that drive with his size, athleticism, and strength and you get an athlete with an extremely high ceiling. I'm excited to see what is ahead of this kid.

The #1 OL in the Class is varsity starter, [player_tooltip player_id='1627975' first='Roman' last='Holtz']. The 6'3" 260 lbs guard looks the part lining up next to the rest of the talented Arrowhead varsity OL. Once the ball snaps Roman proves he belongs out there with them. Roman has excellent range and mobility, reaching DL and fighting across their face to cut them off from the designed gap. The freshman OG also plays with a stout anchor, especially in pass protection. His use of leverage also accentuates that power to hold his ground. Last, Roman does an impressive job of using his hands in trenches. Dive into this kid's highlights.

One of the hardest things to find is a varsity impact player that made his impact on the interior of the DL as a freshman. The 6'1" 290 lbs [player_tooltip player_id='1288198' first='Deandre' last='Ehlen'] is one of those special athletes who did just that. Even at his massive size Deandre has developed the balance and body control to bend, dip, or flip his hips to get through gaps and around OL quickly off the snap. The big man also possesses the power to bull rush IOL off the line and collapse the pocket. Ehlen also does really well finding the ball after the snap while in those trench battles. Deandre is the kid to know when it comes to interior DL play in this Class. His highlights are a must watch.

The Catholic Memorial defense had plenty of young talent making an impact this past fall. One of the underclassmen leading the way was freshman LB [player_tooltip player_id='1624391' first='Will' last='Schmitzer']. The 6'2" 200 lbs LB was all over the field making plays and finishing the year with 58 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks. The OLB already is looking like he will turn into a three down LB at the next level. He has the physicality and strength to take on blocks, set the edge, and make tackles vs the outside run game. Will also looks fluid dropping into coverage and changing direction to get into throwing windows. He has the speed to get around the edge and also run with receiving threats in the open field. Big things are ahead for Will. Check him out!

The top receiving threat in the Class at this time is Brookfield East's [player_tooltip player_id='1288210' first='Tre' last='Oiler']. The '28 has an elite frame of a future stud TE at 6'5" 210 lbs. On tape you will see Tre use that size mismatch to his advantage. Whether it is winning 50/50 balls, boxing out, or taking it away right in front of the DB with his reach. The freshman also looks comfortable playing the ball in the air, easily adjusting without panic to the path of the ball. Oiler flashes a few double moves throughout his highlights that work because he is a smooth athlete with the body control to be able to convince a DB that he is going to break off a route before getting vertical again. There is a lot of potential to tap into over the next three years.

Another impressive OL to crack the Top 10 is Chris Ferrari out of DC Everest. Chris was a varsity starter and looked right at home at left guard. The 6'1" 240 lbs OL looks right at home on the interior of the trenches. He is well on his way to checking every key box for the position. Chris has outstanding range with his mobility and body control out in space. He does a great job of breaking down in space to hit his target. In the trenches he is explosive off the line and instantly creates power on contact against the DL. You will see him consistently use a wide base that is loaded up with power and hands that land their punch accurately on his opponent. Chris has a very high ceiling. I'm excited to watch him continue to grow and develop his game.

Gavin is one of the more exciting athletes in this Top 10. He quickly made a varsity impact right away at the start of the season. It wasn't to fill a spot either. Gavin came out and proved he has the speed to stretch the field and the ball skills to be able to reel in those deep passes and flip the field or score the long TD. As a freshman his speed was already a mismatch at the varsity level. I'm excited to see his route tree open up more as he is asked to do more and more things over his career. The building blocks of a high caliber recruit are there to mold.

Landen is one of the top athletes in the trenches to know in this Class. He played on varsity on both sides of the ball. Something we do not see very often from freshmen, and he did it on a team that made a push to the verge of a State Championship appearance. On offense, Landen thrives in the run heavy attack. He is quick out of his stance and into his man, winning the leverage and positioning battle. From there his already impressive frame is loaded up with power to drive his man out of the lane or double team his way up to level two defenders. Landen fits on the DL too. He plays stout vs the run, uses his hands to get off blocks, and finds the ball quickly. Big things are ahead for this kid.

We round out our Top 10 with an exciting WR prospect. Ty already possesses the frame needed to dominate out wide. His frame stands out from the crowd on tape, and so does the strength built into it. He is able to use his size to create space and to keep DBs from pumping him off his routes. The strength carries all the way out to his hands where he is able to make secure catches through traffic. Ty was an imposing presence lined up against kids his own age. I look forward to seeing him vs varsity competition soon. His freshman highlights are linked below!
