We call this one the "Home Ground" series as we meet one (or two) prospects in this 2027 class from every NSIC football town across the Dakotas that should be on early recruiting boards in the conference or at he Division I level for some. Heck, with this list you might even be able to steal a recruit off someone's home turf as we gear up for the release of our 2027 rankings coming out next week.

Ian might still be the biggest workhorse from a work ethic perspective that I have seen at any of our Prep Redzone Showcases in the Midwest, and his tape matches it purely. His first step on his sophomore tape shows off excellent agility with his get off and gets one step in front of the offensive line with great ease. He is super efficent with shedding off blocks with his legit 6'2 280 pound frame and carries the short area vision you want in your nose guard. I said it even before our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase he was at last Spring, Ian sure looks to me a Division I fit in my eyes as one of the best defensive linemen we have in our 2027 ND rankings.

Jamestown:

Couldn't find much tape available on 2027 prospects from Jamestown High, so we will take you 45 minutes southeast to a 9-man powerhouse.

If you want a 2027 that can fly on tape, head 45 minutes south of Jamestown to LaMoure-Litchville Marion as [player_tooltip player_id='1320071' first='Colby' last='Thielges'] is a name in this 2027 class you will want to know. The athleticism this kid shows off with his catch radius in the air shows a wide receiver that plays way bigger than his 5'11 170 pound frame and seeing those high traffic area catches Colby made as a sophomore really intrigues me. He also shows off a 2027 prospect that impresses with his football IQ on both sides of the ball as Colby is just as much of a playmaker defensively too and I recall that from the 9-man state championship game this winner. Surely is one I like already as a stockriser with these upcoming 2027 rankings out next week.

My gut told me from last spring's Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and our live eval we got on Friday night before the Minot State Camp that Anthony was going to be a stud in this 2027 and he showed that with his sophomore season with the Magi. Man, does this young man have all the range you want from sideline to sideline as he has such agile hips with his release. The 5'11 195 pounder from Minot, is a certified flyer to the ball and plays with so much finesse with the contact he constantly makes. He WILL be one that moves up our 2027 ND rankings guaranteed as a projected free safety at the next level and easily one fo the best defensive backs in that 2027 class.

Brayden is a 5'11 190 pound 2027 running back that I found recently when adding to our rankings that intrigues me on tape on the eval. Not only does this young man have great vision, but I would love to see where he tests this summer with his pro agility as he shows that his change of direction can be a weapon in the open field. Especially around the edges, Brayden shows off to be quite durable with his legs getting yards after contact as a north-south tailback that also can utilize one-cut and find his mark in tight areas. Find out and see next week, where this young man comes out in our 2027 SD rankings. Someone find me this young man on Twitter!

Nobody in the 2027 South Dakota class, made more noise in their sophomore campaign more than Sioux Falls Lincoln quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1263883' first='Brody' last='Schafer'] did getting the Patriots back as the 11AAA state champions. Talk about a young man that will see his stock rise to QB1 in our 2027 rankings, as Brody shows off one of the quickest releases amongst South Dakota quarterbacks regardless of class and carries an enormous amount of poise inside the pocket. He does an excellent job fitting his throws into super tight windows and does so very consistently with his sophomore tape. I would also say regardless of class, that Brody showed off the best ball placement in the Dakotas last year as the step up he made from his freshmen to sophomore year is outstanding. He would be one if I am recruiting South Dakota, to make an early offer to in this class.

I have scouted plenty of PRZ Showcases across the Midwest and to this day no one has come from off our radar to on our radar quicker than our WR MVP at this winter's Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, [player_tooltip player_id='1575889' first='Carter' last='Lust'] of Aberdeen Central. He doesn't have the tape yet to show the college coaches what I saw, however this young man showed off some of the best hands this winter amongst the WR group and was very efficient with making catches in high traffic areas from the reps I got to watch. The burst from the first level to the second level of his routes also was really intriguing and I hope Carter can show off more of what I saw in his tape for his upcoming junior year.
