Carter is a hidden gem that if you have been a college coach in attendance at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, you know why. He won WR MVP at our last showcase and has a great catch radius for his size. Carter may not be the biggest wide receiver out there, but every catch I have ever watched him make he does it with a presence that makes his frame seem bigger. He also has great hands that I still after 2-3 showcases have yet to see him drop a ball on any WR reps. Heard from a couple college coaches at our showcases that this young man is one that should have a shot at the next-level as a slot receiver.

in the 2027 class. Although he didn’t take the title this spring, Carter still showed growth from December that I could gauge quickly. I noticed early his twitch when he makes his cuts on his routes, looks more fluid than it did in Aberdeen in December. He also made progressions forward with his football IQ in the reps I got to watch, running crisper routes and despite the smaller size didn’t fear making high traffic areas receptions last Saturday. Heard from a college coach in conversation that Carter looks to be have next-level ability with good probability as a slot-receiver in my eyes. Hopefully get to see more tape come out soon on Hudl, as right now he is very under the radar despite a WR MVP under his belt.

Carter is a 2027 newcomer that rose to the occasion at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine this winter as our WR MVP out of Aberdeen Central. This young man is a sound route-runner and might not be the biggest WR you will ever see, but the solid change of direction and athleticsm with his catch radius were great from what I grasped out of the live eval. Some young men play above what their measurables might give them, and Carter is surely the definition of that and is already signed up to redeem his WR MVP title this Spring again in Aberdeen.
