We've obviously over the years spent a lot of time in Aberdeen at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcases and at Northern State camps for the last several years. Something that always surprises me a bit (this list will tell you why) is the amount of under the radar talent there is in the city. Sure, they have had plenty of athletes go on to play for the Wolves, but I surely think this is an area of the Dakotas that doesn't get talked about when we use the term under the radar. This 2027 class will tell you that, as two of these young men below have won an MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. We ran thru every prospect in the city of Aberdeen we could find recent tape on to tell you what they are all about with their skillsets, and projections at the next-level.

Jean has been a LB MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen, but despite that hasn't generated much interest as of yet. The 5'10 205 pounder is a knockback tackler that has great vision down to the ball and the strength he has with his tackling ability could surely be utilized at the next-level. Jean also has a persistent motor that doesn't get enough credit in my eyes as you can feel that plus the instincts he has at his disposal. He's surely one I would take a shot at as a middle linebacker on Saturdays if I was recruiting North Central South Dakota.

Luke is a defensive back in this 2027 class that should be on the rise hopefully soon in this recruiting cycle. The 6'2 165 pounder from Aberedeen Roncalli not only has elite size as a corner, but has a sound ball-tracking ability that should surely be in our top 100 overall here soon. He shows off persistence in pass coverage that is constantly around the ball for a pass breakup or interception and is one that going to camps could surely pay some dividends with his upside and athleticism. Luke also does a good job of showing rotational hips which allows him to attack the ball as a zone corner as well.

Bennett is one that could beneift posting a highlight tape, as some of his reps are tough to scope out but the athleticism this young man displays is surely there. This young man has a acceletor downhill to the ball that's hard to miss. The 5'10 190 pounder for the Golden Eagles, also has well-versed instincts that shows how effective he can be blowing up screen plays or chasing down ball carriers. He's got a lot of upside and college football pedigree with a brother playing up the road at Northern State, so Bennett is surely one to watch as a poisslbe senior bloomer out of Aberdeen Central.

Carter is another prospect out of of Aberdeen that has taken advantage at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, winning a WR MVP along the way and finishing in our top-tier amongst WRs at some of our other Dakotas showcases. He's another one that the live eval might show to be more effective than what you see on tape. The now 5'8 160 pounder, has great hands that catches mostly everything that comes his way from what I have seen out of him in Aberdeen. He's got well-versed change of direction with his route running that points to his seperation ability as a projectable slot receiver at the next-level.

Another Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum out of Aberdeen Central that has surely grown with his skillsets from the last time he was at our showcase is 2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1669084' first='Jace' last='Byram']. Jace shows off as a sound tackler stopping the run game and has gotten quicker at diagnosing running lanes with his growing vision he has. The 6'1 185 pounder also has grown when it comes to his pursuit angles in my eyes as one that also has upside yet to certainly grow out of this 2027 class out of Aberdeen.

A new name we added this afternoon to our Aberdeen radar is 2027 defensive back Jackson Board. This kid for his size shows more range as a safety than you might expect with those measurables. The 5'11 160 pounder from Aberdeen Central, Jackson shows to be a consistent open-field tackler when ball carriers get by the defensive first unit. He shows fluid athletic movement that I feel his best skillset is how loose his hips get when he breaks on the ball. Another 2027 out of Aberdeen that I cannot find on Twitter as of yet either.

Jordan's not going to be the most sizable guard you ever see, but you want one with well-versed hands and strength, he could be a fit in your offensive line room. The 5'10 250 pounder has really come into his own with his raw strength he has with his hands as the Prep Redzone Dakotas showcase veteran as also seen growth when it comes to his pad-level. Jordan also has gotten more fluid with his first step, especially when you watch him as a pulling guard,. He is for sure one that NAIA schools in the Dakotas should take a look into in the 2027 class.

Owen is a 2027 linebacker that surely could turn into a senior bloomer for the Golden Eagles defense. I would recommend him to reorder his highlight tape as once you get to the 4-5 play you see reps that should be towards the begininning in my eyes. He's well-rounded when it comes to what he can bring to the table with stopping the run or pass coverage but what he provides in stopping the run just barely leds the pack as far as his skillsets go. The 6'1 190 pounder could be one on the rise in this 2027 class.
