Expert Analysis
Nate Wahl | Prep Redzone Scout
Luke is a defensive back in this 2027 class that should be on the rise hopefully soon in this recruiting cycle. The 6’2 165 pounder from Aberedeen Roncalli not only has elite size as a corner, but has a sound ball-tracking ability that should surely be in our top 100 overall here soon. He shows off persistence in pass coverage that is constantly around the ball for a pass breakup or interception and is one that going to camps could surely pay some dividends with his upside and athleticism. Luke also does a good job of showing rotational hips which allows him to attack the ball as a zone corner as well.

Luke I originally had graded as a wide receiver, but when you watch his tape at the cornerback position, you can see the natural feel he has brewing at that position spot. The 6’2 165 pounder has a great ball-tracking ability and it’s evident that this kid plays with a heck of a lot of range and athleticism built in. You also cannot miss on the 1v1 physicality that Luke possesses around the ball as one that can easily defend on all three levels of the field. He’s made a lot of pass breakups and key interceptions in his last two seasons for the Cavaliers and grades out as a Saturday prospect in my eyes.
