2026 Rankings Update- Explosive RBs Added to Our List

At 6'2 205, Blackmon is physical, plays with a ton of speed, and can completely flip the field in a moment's notice. Blackmon is near unstoppable when he reaches the open field- he has excellent breakaway speed that allows him to go untouched by defenders, breaking off massive touchdown plays on the ground consistently all season. Blackmon has also shown great contact balance- he can withstand hits really well and plays through defenders to gain every yard possible. Blackmon was incredibly productive all last year- ending his junior campaign with 115 carries for 695 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground, and 9 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown in the passing game. Andrews is extremely physical in his play- he has excellent contact balance, can shed off tacklers, and overall is terrific at staying on his feet to finish out plays. Andrews also plays with great vision and speed- he finds tight rushing lanes at the line of scrimmage, fits through them, and will fly through to put up some explosive plays. Andrews is a workhorse for Mountain Brook's offense- staying on the field every down and racking up some impressive numbers down the stretch. Andrews put together a terrific season for Mountain Brook last fall- ending his year with 309 carries for 1805 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground, with an additional 10 receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown in the air. Edwards is extremely explosive out of the backfield- he has terrific speed acceleration he uses to go from 0-100 and quickly turn upfield for huge plays. Edwards is really twitchy, he can easily make defenders miss and consistently carves out huge plays every time the ball is in his hands. Edwards is a threat from every part of the field- he's an explosive playmaker capable of taking it to the house every carry. Edwards had a huge season last fall-ending the year with 117 carries for 977 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground, with an additional 12 receptions for 189 yards as a receiver. Although producing on both sides of the ball, Wilder has been most impressive out of Green County's backfield. Wilder is one of the more physical players I've watched recently- when it comes to tackling him, he's a defense's worst nightmare. Wilder runs hard- he has unbelievable contact balance and excels at trucking/stiff-arming defenders into the dirt- putting together some highlight-worthy plays. Although Wilder is more of a power/bruiser type of back, he still has some incredible speed he uses to outrun entire defenses in the open field, making the most out of every carry and putting together some unreal plays. Wilder had a terrific junior season-ending the year with 145 carries for 1885 yards and 15 touchdowns on offense, with 51 total tackles (32 solo), 2 sacks, and one interception on defense. After the season he had last fall, Wilder picked up offers from Troy and North Alabama. Myricks is a complete back who can make plays both on the ground and through the air as a receiving option- he's incredibly dependable for his offense and it shows on film. Myricks is super quick, plays with great speed, and easily makes defenders miss- it's impressive watching him run the ball, he does a great job maximizing every carry, consistently moving the chains or finding the endzone. As a pass catcher, Myricks is also reliable- he has great hands, can secure passes while being hit, and has YAC ability that makes him a tough player to catch up and stop. Myricks had his best season yet as a starter- ending the year with 103 carries for 535 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground, with an additional 19 receptions for 219 yards and one touchdown as a receiver.
