Andrews is an explosive playmaker with elite lateral quickness and the ability to turn short gains into big plays. His ability to read blocks and make defenders miss in tight spaces makes him a nightmare for opposing defenses. With a strong lower body and powerful leg drive, he consistently breaks through arm tackles and finishes runs with authority. Andrews has also worked on his pass protection, making him a complete three-down back. He’s already drawing interest from Power Five programs, and another strong season could cement him as a top-tier prospect.

was one of the state’s leading rushers this past season, he was incredible to watch as he dominated the ground game against every defense Mountain Brook faced last fall. Andrews is extremely physical in his play- he has excellent contact balance, can shed off tacklers, and overall is terrific at staying on his feet to finish out plays. Andrews also plays with great vision and speed- he finds tight rushing lanes at the line of scrimmage, fits through them, and will fly through to put up some explosive plays. Andrews is a workhorse for Mountain Brook’s offense- staying on the field every down and racking up some impressive numbers down the stretch. Andrews put together a terrific season for Mountain Brook last fall- ending his year with 309 carries for 1805 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground, with an additional 10 receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown in the air. Be sure to watch Andrews’ tape- he’s extremely talented out of the backfield and put together one of the best rushing seasons in the state last fall!

has been having his best season yet for Mountain Brook this year- each week Andrews has put up ridiculous numbers against some tough defenses, and last week was more of the same. Last week, Andrews had another dominant performance on the ground against Pinson Valley (1-6) that ended with Mountain Brook (5-3) winning 47-30. Andrews is a physical back that thrives off his aggressive playstyle- he has great contact balance he uses to take big hits, runs through defenders, and is hard for defenders to wrap up and bring down. Andrews also has some great vision and field awareness, he does a great job finding open lanes and exploiting them for huge gains on the ground. It was easy to see Andrews’s playstyle work this past week against Pinson Valley- he ended the game with 35 carries for 197 yards and 4 touchdowns. It’s been awesome watching Andrews this season, he’s been a huge asset to Mountain Brook’s offense and has become one of the top backs in the state’s 2026 class. Be sure to keep watching him throughout the rest of the season, he’s definitely going to have more performances like this!

is a talented junior running back out of Mountain Brook who is coming off one of the best performances of his career this last week. Last week, Andrews came up huge for his offense on the ground, wearing down Homewood’s defense in a close 27-22 win over Homewood. Andrews is a really physical back that can withstand big hits, play through contact, and make the most out of every carry he gets. Andrews also plays with great vision and instincts, he can easily take advantage of defensive fronts with how well he finds lanes and bursts through them. It was easy to see Andrews’s playstyle this past week against Homewood- he ended the game with 30 carries for 211 yards and one touchdown, with one reception for 8 yards. Andrews has played really well for Mountain Brook this season, as a junior he has helped transform their rushing attack into one of the top units in the state. Watch out for Andrews going forward, he’s got a ton left in the tank this season and is bound to make more plays!
