Marty Myricks Marty Myricks 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Oak Mountain | 2026 State AL is one of my favorite 2026 RBs in Alabama, and the rest of our Alabama scouts agree. His athletic traits are adequate, and his size checks the required boxes, but it’s his running style that really sticks out to me. He is patient, squeezes his blocks, and masterfully pieces his way around contact. Given that style, his traits complement him well. He is a D1 graded RB, and I am eager to see where he ends up.

Myricks came up huge last week in Oak Mountain’s 30-29 win over Pelham, racking up 152 rushing yards (170 all-purpose). I’m a big fan of Oak Mountain this season and think Myricks could end up as one of the leading rushers in the state.

Marty Myricks Marty Myricks 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Oak Mountain | 2026 State AL is a shifty back with lightning-fast speed, known for his ability to turn the corner and explode down the field. He’s a playmaker who thrives in space, often outrunning defenders with his quick acceleration. Myricks has a sharp vision, allowing him to read blocks and find open lanes with ease. His agility and lateral movement make him hard to contain, especially on stretch plays and sweeps. College programs looking for an all-purpose back with speed will want to keep an eye on Myricks.

Marty Myricks Marty Myricks 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Oak Mountain | 2026 State AL is a breakout RB in Alabama this fall and has raised his stock another level after the first few weeks. He comes in at 5’11 185, built proportionally and athletically. Can’t find verified speed, but he is a suddenness-based runner anyway.

Myricks plays with excellent patience. He gets his shoulders squared and allows his blockers to clean up in the gaps as he waits. His vision is extremely impressive, consistently locating cut-back lanes and evading traffic when he gets into the open field. He isn’t a thumper, but keeps his shoulders squared and runs with good contact balance. Myricks has effortless change of direction and footwork, dodging tacklers in the open field. He showcases short bursts of explosiveness, allowing him to squeeze away from defenses and make subtle cuts.

Showed enough evidence on tape to prove he can be a capable pass catcher out of the backfield. Looked over his shoulder to reel in a wheel route while taking on contact. I am a big fan of Myricks game and it’s a matter of time before college coaches jump all over him.

Marty Myricks Marty Myricks 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Oak Mountain | 2026 State AL is a talented senior running back out of Oak Mountain that has been terrific for his offense’s run game this season. This past week, Myricks came up huge for his team in an offensive shootout against Tuscaloosa County, where Oak Mountain won 49-35. Myricks is an electric back who plays with a lot of speed, twitch, and toughness out of the backfield. He has terrific speed, easily makes defenders miss, and has great contact balance that allows him to take on hits when he’s toting the rock. Myricks used all of these skills last week against Tuscaloosa County- he ended his night with 19 carries for 267 yards and 5 touchdowns, dominating the ground game all night long. Be sure to watch Myricks going forward- he’s played really well this season and is sure to make more plays for Oak Mountain down the stretch!
