In the dynamic world of CFB recruiting, identifying the next wave of talent is what I strive to achieve. As we progress past the first NSD, several promising athletes stand on the cusp of major opportunities. This piece delves into five prospects whose stocks are on the rise, each with the potential to make significant impacts on their future stock with potential collegiate suitors. Whether they're turning heads with their athletic prowess, academic achievements, or strategic shifts in their recruitment status, these individuals are poised to capture the attention of college coaches in the Northeast, maybe even nationwide.

6'4, 205 pounds. The same height/weight combination registered before the season. Interested in whether or not Sesay has added to his frame in anyway. Sesay is an intriguing prospect to dive into based on measurables and potential alone. We will dive into his fresh tape to provide context.

At 6'4", Sesay has a significant advantage in terms of reach, which is crucial for an edge rusher or OLB. The length can disrupt passing lanes, making it difficult for quarterbacks to find open receivers in the short game, and can be used effectively to keep offensive linemen from getting into his chest. This height is beneficial for setting the edge against the run, allowing him to extend his arms to control blockers without being easily steered away from the flow of traffic. Sesay is still light in his pads. There is obvious room for growth if he still weighs in at 205. His current build provides positives and negatives. Sesay can work an explosive quick/initial step, he can get skinny and work laterally to penetrate a front. He's going to have to put on more weight if he wants to win against some of the best tackles HS has to offer, yet there are two things to consider. One, Sesay is still an underclassman. Two, a college program isn't going to harp on a 6'4 OLB/EDGE rusher being 20-25 pounds too light, they will get him in the building if they like him enough and make sure this weight is gained.

Was recently named to the Ches-Mont North Division 1st-Team along with several other Downingtown West players. Is a basketball player, worth mentioning. Looking at Sesay, his game isn't all agility/speed based. If given the opportunity, he can gain positive downhill momentum that can make his 205 feel like 230 easily. Can flirt with the TE position. Can play with his hand on or off the dirt. Good motor and pursuit of the ball carrier. Is an early offer candidate in my opinion.

6'1, 175 pounds. Up 5-10 pounds since last checked in, every pound matters especially concerning the growth of a defensive back. Fresh off his second 6A Title Game victory. Previously ranked as a top ten DB in his class, eighth specifically. With a rankings update looming, I have St. Joseph's Prep's [player_tooltip player_id='402465' first='Simaj' last='Hill'] in line beside some of the best DB the class of 2026 has to offer. This is an offer-now corner in my opinion.

Breaking down Hill's recently posted junior tape, I break down what I see below.

Height/weight combination is ideal, almost prototypical in what college coaches look for, especially if Hill's current build is verified. I don't question whether or not Hill can match up with 6'3-6'5 wideouts. The knock on Hill when I first saw him over a year ago was his weight, and whether or not he can play with some kind of physicality. Based on his junior tape, I am questioning his weight less and less. Unreal feel for passing concepts, he is seasoned in this sense. Can predict and break on in or out breaking routes in front of him, countless reps on tape provide proof of this. Tape starts off with Hill reeling in a pass while dropping into coverage, then showing off some playmaking skills returning said pick to the house for a score. Hill puts a ton of time into balance and agility drills, the kid is the ideal matchup outside the numbers, one SJP can lean on in times of need. Mental fortitude is there, kid's confidence is through the roof. Transitions from reading concepts and dropping into coverage, to flipping hips and running, to tracking the football. Transitions between these areas almost seamlessly. Without a doubt a top corner in his class, one I will likely elevate on our rankings yet again, this being two consecutive updates Hill will see an improvement in ranking.

5'8, 165 pounds. I fully understand why an FBS program would be weary to extend offers to backs of Billups's size. Like I've said in the past, it's going to be an uphill battle to secure FBS scholarships from now to signing day next year. I implore any coaches reading that this shouldn't be as tough a take as it may seem.

1,200 rushing yards to lead the SJP 2024 Championship team. Coming into the season behind Ohio State prospect [player_tooltip player_id='386033' first='Isaiah' last='West'], [player_tooltip player_id='646778' first='Khyan' last='Billups'] was in line to back up the top-ranked back, or so that's what was how things were perceived in August. I detailed early into the season that Billups had attained close to the same amount of carries and yards through the first two weeks of the season. West would eventually be lost for the season, further fanning the flame that SJP would have no shot at a 6A title. [player_tooltip player_id='646778' first='Khyan' last='Billups']' efforts behind this stout OL helped propel SJP back to form quickly. A lot must be said of Billups, the junior stepped up when he was called upon to lead this vaunted but young SJP offense. Billups finished the season with six-straight 100-yard performances to his name, this against the likes of LaSalle, Downingtown West, and PCC, a final championship effort that saw Billups score three times and tally 230 yards on the ground.

In recruiting terms, Billups will have to be patient and control what he can control. GPA, track times, film, and exposure, all of these things will prove to be vital in the effort to get an FBS program to bite. Billups is well on his way to climbing our ranks. With a ranking update ready to drop, Billups will likely see a massive jump in overall rank.

Could be an FBS-cailber outside linebacker prospect. Possesses the physical assets, the mental capacity, and technical skills necessary to make me believe he'll be a perennial Top 100 prospect. Carries an ideal frame suitable for run support and pass coverage skills. Malvern Prep likes to get creative with Mohring's alignments. Mohring can be seen deployed and aligned pre-snap as far out as the numbers to cover slot guys. Does a good job mirroring and dropping inside of 8-10 yards. Holds value as an open-field 1v1 tackler, Malvern Prep can trust Mohring to make plays in space, his junior tape is littered with opportunities showcasing exactly that. Looks like a capable safety in some situations, Mohring boosts his stock by being able to adapt to so many different offensive looks, I'd bet there aren't many looks that force Mohring off the field, he can be a chameleon and play in support of the run, can play curl/flat zones, can break on footballs thrown outside of the hashes and legitimately disrupt passing lanes. Adopts the motor that many Malvern Prep prospects have showed off in years past. I hear nothing but good things surrounding his work ethic on and off the field. There's no questioning Mohring's status among FCS programs recruiting the area, I question whether or not Mohring can crack through the FCS-ceiling this offseason. I think he could be capable.

90 tackles to his name, this out of a sophomore at Roman. A good blend of PBUs and TFLs logged/registered on film. First rep on tape shows off Hudson's playmaking ability, proving he can drop in coverage, read the eyes of a QB and intercept errant passes. Hudson isn't going to get looks from potential collegiate suitors based on his coverage skills, of course. That's icing on the cake, the cake being Hudson's ability to diagnose runs, where they are intended, as well as his ability to read and react to the flow of traffic. Hudson is often the first backer taking the brunt of the flow, yet he does a great job taking blockers head-on. No shying away, not many false steps, not much hesitation if he sees H-backs, FBs, or pulling OL headed his way. Hudson has the toughness blended with the awareness necessary to blow up off-tackle run sets in a flash. Hudson's build makes him a tough player to have come off the field. Athleticism is his calling card. Roman likes to deploy 4-2-5 looks, as well as many variations to that base look thanks to the number of fantastic DB types they have on roster. Hudson coupled with athletic DBs make this back-seven a formidable one.

I'm not exactly sold on Hudson being an early-offer candidate just yet, mainly because I want to know more about his testing numbers. Another year of great production would alleviate these questions too. Promising prospect nonetheless.
