He has good size (6'4") and strength. Last season, he played as a right tackle, where he excelled as a run blocker. His ability to go downfield and run block is excellent. He is a good down blocker against defensive linemen. He also demonstrates good athleticism by running into the open field and blocking at a high level. Then, as a defensive tackle, he plays well as a nose tackle. He is hard to move off his spot. His ability to extend his arms and drive defenders off the ball is outstanding. His wingspan must be high because he has long arms that reach far. He also shows a good ability to move his feet and extend his arms to block good players off the edge. In May, he picked up a Syracuse offer. His ability to snap the ball and block defensive tackles was impressive last season. He is undersized, but makes up for it with his athleticism. He also does a good job of combo blocking defensive tackles. He then peels off to block linebackers. He also shows a good ability to move his feet to stay in front of pass rushers. He does a good job as a center by blocking interior defensive linemen at a high level. He has good strength so which allows him to control bigger players. He is also a leverage monster, as he can use his pad level to get under defenders and drive them off the ball. Then, as a defensive tackle, he is hard to move off his spot. His film is littered with him going and blocking defensive players in the run game. He has an excellent feel for how to block all types of defenders.
