He has been the number 1 ranked recruit a couple years now with good reason, [player_tooltip player_id='923337' first='Maddox' last='Twigg'] is the real deal. I was impressed not only by his performance but the fact he came the showcase right from a basketball practice, that alone shows you his commitment. From a solid 40 time (4.75) to making very precise throws during individual drills, he was the MVP!

[player_tooltip player_id='1683406' first='Roscoe' last='Dean'] was fun to watch really thought he was going to crack under a 4.7 in the 40, certainly was close. Oscar Galindo ran with the backs in the morning session and he has a great breakdown below:

Hampshire junior [player_tooltip player_id='1683406' first='Roscoe' last='Dean'] took home RB MVP honors after a well-rounded Stock Up performance. Dean started hot with a great combine session featuring a 4.7 40-yard dash, a 9'6" broad jump, and a 4.65 shuttle drill, which were all good for/tied for second among all attendees. The Trojans' back really impressed during positional drills, where he displayed twitchy footwork that allowed him to operate in tight quarters. Dean runs with a strong, balanced base, enabling him to change direction quickly, maintain a consistent pad level, and have strong contact balance. During 1v1s, Roscoe looked great as a route runner, showing he can attack the defender's leverage and create separation at the top of the route with reliable hands to reel in the catch. Solid build already at 6'0", 195 lbs, with room to continue adding some bulk to his frame at the next level. Definitely a player to watch in the WV 2027 class.

Seems like West Virginia's 2028 class was on a mission for this showcase as top ranked running back [player_tooltip player_id='1624347' first='Dalton' last='Cooper'] was outstanding as well. He ran a 4.72 40 and a broad jump of 10 feet even, the 27th ranked prospect had a day. I agree with Oscar's assessment he does pass the eye test, Cooper is in for big things this fall.

In my humble opinion Southmoreland 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='445959' first='Jackson' last='Mickens'] was the MVP of the entire West Virginia showcase. This young man has a very bright future, I watched him perform with different position groups and the way he adjusted had everyone impressed. He is so smooth in his route running and I think the only pass he dropped all day was thrown into the soccer post. Mickens showed off his elite skills with the tight end/receiver and running back rooms, he is going to be a weapon this fall.

The 51st ranked 2028 Ohio prospect Shawn Rice came ready to go from the start. Rice is a excellent route runner who tested through the roof on Saturday, here is what Oscar Galindo had to say:

An out-of-stater from Ohio, Worthington Kilbourne's [player_tooltip player_id='1921554' first='Shawn' last='Rice'], showed up and showed out at the WV Stock Up showcase. As a '28 prospect, I was impressed to see Shawn play at a level above his age. He blazed through the testing portion with a 4.8 40-yard dash, 4.7 shuttle, and a 9'0" broad jump. Shawn looks the part of a next-level receiver as he ran through his routes with clean footwork and change of direction at the breakoff point. At one point, I heard a coach say Shawn was selling double moves so well that he was even tricking some of the QBs on the reps. He is listed at 5'10", but plays a lot bigger than his frame, with the awareness to stretch out to maximize his catch radius. Sneaky deep ball— Rice will fly past you if you don't respect his speed. All the tools here to develop into a top-flight receiver.

Washingon was the best offensive linemen on site he showed his skills in front of the college coaches who were in agreement he needed to be the MVP, here is what I wrote:

Morgantown's [player_tooltip player_id='1525346' first='Bryson' last='Washington'] took home offensive linemen MVP honors, he has the hands down choice speaking with all the coaches. The junior who is coming off a recent rankings boost in the 2027 class was outstanding during the 1v1 drills and he had solid testing numbers. Really like how he established himself against a feisty defensive line group, I do not think he lost a rep during the pass blocking circuit. Washington has good size at 6'0 and 275 lbs., I could see a number of Division 2 schools really pursuing him this off-season.
