Talk about leaving an impact on a game, Domonick Ruiz scored five of Corona del Sol's six touchdowns in Friday's game against Desert Vista. Going for an astonishing 226 yards through the air, another 36 on the ground, and tacking on 44 more returning kicks, Ruiz finished the day with 306 all-purpose yards. No matter how he got the ball, he proved to be incredibly hard for the defense to bring down once it was in his hands. The speedy do-it-all athlete showed he's capable of more than affecting a game, he can completely take it over.

[player_tooltip player_id='412188' first='Owen' last='Reynoso'] broke out for his best game of the year on Friday in a close game against Pinnacle. Rushing for a season-high 156 yards and getting his first multi-touchdown game of the year, he's a huge reason Centennial's offense was able to build up a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter — though they, unfortunately, weren't able to hold onto it. Reynoso averaged a whopping nine yards a carry throughout the game and his quick feet and impressive vision made him nearly impossible to bring down behind the line. I'd expect more of these types of performances from the junior running back moving forward.

Another player who had his season high in yards, and also receptions, [player_tooltip player_id='954307' first='Hayden' last='Daugherty'] left his mark in the matchup between Queen Creek and Highland. Although Highland fell short on the scoreboard, their 6'4" 240 lb tight end led the team in receptions with eight. An intimidating presence for players in the secondary, Daugherty rarely went down on first contact. With his size, he's a scary red-zone threat and a go-to option for his quarterback in those short-yardage situations. Able to find his way into the endzone in this one, Daugherty showcased his ability to create mismatches and muscle through defenders — proving that he's one of the most reliable weapons on Highland's offense.

Leading the way for a Desert Vista receiving corps that had 439 yards as a whole, [player_tooltip player_id='1353892' first='Aeneas' last='Redmond'] was gouging the Corona del Sol defense for short, medium, and very long gains all throughout the night. The sure-handed wideout caught 14 passes for 162 yards and two scores, consistently getting separation no matter what the defense was running. Showing just how tough he is, Redmond took a few big hits over the middle and popped right back up every time. Crazy enough, he wasn't even the only Desert Vista receiver to finish with over 150 yards and two touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547430' first='Isaac' last='Price'], the other half of the explosive Desert Vista duo of wide receivers that combined for 318 yards and four touchdowns, showed how well-rounded he is at the position in a close loss to Corona del Sol. Price had one of the catches of the year with a one-handed snag along the sideline where he showed both impressive vertical and excellent body control to get his foot down in bounds. It's not just catching the ball where he impressed, he's also a danger after the catch with his quick twitch and knack for avoiding big contact. A true playmaker, Price kept Desert Vista's offense alive with his versatility and big-play ability when it mattered most.

Already putting together a stellar freshman year, [player_tooltip player_id='1218871' first='Roye' last='Oliver III'] had his season-high in receiving yards against Red Mountain with 130. Averaging a whopping 33 yards per reception, there's no denying his incredible speed. Not only was Oliver able to get behind the defense, but he also showed just how good he is at the catch-point. His strong hands and ability to track the ball seem to show up every game. For a freshman, his poise and big-play mentality are rare, making him a threat defenses are already struggling to contain.

Finishing the game with 195 all-purpose yards, he was a factor both on offense and on special teams. Wagner averaged 19 yards per reception and found his way into the endzone twice on the night. He's got great speed with the ball in his hands and showed the ability to make tough-contested catches all night. Receiving a well-deserved offer from NAU over the weekend, there's no doubt that Wagner will make a big impact at the next level.

He seemed to effortlessly get separation on his cuts, and it only got bigger as he streaked down the field. Averaging 19 yards a reception, Lugo finished the night with 116 yards and added two scores. His speed and precision made him a nightmare in open space, and he consistently found ways to slip past defenders, turning routine plays into game-changers. Lugo's performance was the spark his team needed to come back from down ten points in the fourth quarter.

Breaking wide open down the middle of the field for one of Higley's two touchdowns in Friday night's 15-12 win over Desert Mountain, Walton's quick feet in and out of his breaks made him tough to stick with in man-to-man situations. He finished the day as the team's leader in both receiving yards (81) and receptions (7). Walton's ability to create separation not only showcased his skill but also provided a reliable target for his quarterback in crucial moments; and his knack for finding soft spots in the defense kept drives alive all night.

[player_tooltip player_id='992823' first='Jacob' last='Brown'] had a strong performance in Friday night's win over Red Mountain. Finishing with 107 rushing yards on 23 carries, averaging 4.7 yards per attempt, he found the end zone once, showcasing his ability to power through defenders and break tackles. As our top-ranked back in the '26 class, Brown showed exactly why — coming through when his team needed him.
