Enjoy!

Week eight is in the books and following the games, we always take a look at some of the top performers from each week in high school football across the state. From big time performances in big games to clutch performances and stat sheet-stuffing performances, we have them all! Following games each week, you can submit your picks for top performers by tweeting at us @PrepRedzoneOK or emailing Michael@PrepRedzone.com. This week, we're putting the spotlight on 15 different players across the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1096189' first='Blake' last='Hogshooter'] - Senior Wide Receiver - Bixby

Bixby's offense continued to roll as they beat Mustang 64-35 at home. The passing game was lights out and senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1096189' first='Blake' last='Hogshooter'] was on the other end of a lot of that production. Hogshooter finished the night with six catches for nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns. The yardage and touchdown numbers are among the best in his career as he continues to lead the Spartans in receiving this season. Bixby has definitely turned the corner and is getting back to the same dominant Spartan team with the playoffs right around the corner. Hogshooter provides the Spartans with a match-up nightmare at wide receiver.

[player_tooltip player_id='215570' first='Brady' last='Mcadoo'] - Senior Athlete - Tuttle

Tuttle senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='215570' first='Brady' last='Mcadoo'] is one of the best players in Oklahoma and if you don't know that by now, we don't know what to tell you. Tuttle had an unbeaten showdown with Blanchard and won 28-7. Mcadoo once again was the best player on the field as dominated the game on offense, defense and special teams. He would account for just over 200 total yards. He caught three passes for nearly 70 yards and a score. He returned a punt 97 yards for another touchdown and he came up with an interception and countless pass breakups on defense. The Tuttle senior is an absolute beast and one of the best in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169294' first='Chase' last='Eaves'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Pawhuska

Pawhuska rolled to another win on Friday night after beating Quapaw 72-13 and senior wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1169294' first='Chase' last='Eaves'] was a big reason why. The Pawhuska senior would lead the team with just over 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just five receptions in the win. Defensively, he also finished the night with just over ten tackles and a pair of interceptions. And because Eaves likes the end zone, he returned one of those interceptions for his third touchdown on the night. Pawhuska is starting to absolutely roll offensively and they are going to make the playoff picture in Class A-1 very interesting moving forward.

Colton Gillispie - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Mangum

Mangum remained unbeaten and in the race as one of the top teams in Class A-2. They've been led all season by a standout running back but this week, they beat Texhoma 46-8 and it was senior Colton Gillispie leading them in all three phases of the game. On offense, he had five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown to go along with two rushing touchdowns. On defense, he forced and recovered a fumble and also had three interceptions, one of which he took back for another score and he returned a kick for a score. It was a complete game for Gillispie, who found a way to have a significant impact in all three phases.

[player_tooltip player_id='922962' first='Connor' last='Payne'] - Senior Quarterback - Berryhill

The Berryhill Chiefs continue to roll after beating Verdigris 56-20 on Friday night. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='922962' first='Connor' last='Payne'] continues to lead the way for the Chiefs and he has dominated offensively for the last month. On Friday night, Payne would throw for nearly 250 yards and three touchdowns on 15-17 passing. He was also lights out on the ground with nearly 100 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries. Payne has been the ultimate dual-threat weapon on offense and he's a big reason why the Chiefs have won five straight games following an 0-3 start. They now have a ton of momentum heading into the final two weeks of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='806156' first='Cooper' last='Mott'] - Senior Running Back - Colcord

Colcord improved to 7-1 on the season with an easy win over Chelsea and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='806156' first='Cooper' last='Mott'] would dominate on the ground in the win. As the Hornets rolled to a 53-14 victory, Mott would run the ball for just over 200 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries. Mott and the Hornets are still in the district championship race but after a loss to Adair, they can't afford another one and will need some help to win the district. But they are in a good position to have a home game in the first round. Mott and the Hornets will look to continue their momentum in week nine as they go on the road to face a Salina team that is on a roll.

[player_tooltip player_id='402373' first='Dallas' last='Dyer'] - Junior Running Back - Victory Christian

Victory Christian rolled to a 64-16 victory over Mannford on Friday night. It's been an injury-plagued season for the Conquerors and because of that, they've had a roller coaster year in the win-loss column. And for junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402373' first='Dallas' last='Dyer'], he's dealt with nagging injuries and is slowly but surely getting back to 100 percent. And in a first half performance against Mannford, he looked like a guy that can make the Conquerors a team to watch down the stretch. Dyer would run for 150 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries. And Dyer's night was done by halftime. Look for Dyer and the Conquerors to finish this season strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='884992' first='Dawson' last='Fullingim'] - Senior Running Back/Defensive Lineman - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian continues to be the unquestioned team to beat in Class 3A. The defending champion Bulldogs rolled to a 68-12 win over Checotah and senior running back and defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='884992' first='Dawson' last='Fullingim'] had another big performance on both sides of the ball. He finished with just six carries for 100 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 52-yard reception and three tackles for loss on the defensive side of the ball. Fullingim is the perfect example of just how dangerous this Lincoln Christian team is. On any given week, it feels like the Bulldogs could have one of a handful of players stand out as they continue to roll.

[player_tooltip player_id='1549987' first='Jayden' last='Hall'] - Senior Running Back - Owasso

Owasso got a scare from Edmond Santa Fe on Friday night but the Rams would survive, winning 31-27 over the Wolves. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1549987' first='Jayden' last='Hall'] would have a strong performance in the win. Hall would finish the night with 165 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. Hall is part of a three-headed monster at running back and it's clear that any of them can beat an opponent on any given night. Hall was the guy in the week eight victory over the Wolves. And after last season's exciting game with Santa Fe, they had another one in week eight. But Hall and the Rams continue to be the last remaining unbeaten team in 6A-1.

[player_tooltip player_id='456293' first='Kayleb' last='Barnett'] - Senior Wide Receiver - Jenks

Jenks senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='456293' first='Kayleb' last='Barnett'] was absolutely electric as the Trojans rolled to a 56-14 win over Moore. The Jenks senior would finish the night with just under 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns on seven receptions. We've talked about Barnett on here quite a bit over the last nine months. And the constant themes are "electric" and "speed" and Barnett has plenty of both. The Trojans have completely flipped that switch and look like the team that we thought could be the best in Class 6A-1 this season. Barnett gives the Trojan offense a speedy weapon that most defenses aren't going to be able to contain.

[player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] - Junior Running Back - Vian

Another week and another fantastic performance from Vian junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] as the Wolverines remained unbeaten following a 56-13 win over Wilburton. Wright would only carry the ball four times in the blowout win but he still finished with 170 yards and three touchdowns. Wright is going to be an absolute problem for every opponent for the rest of the year and he's a big reason why we think the Wolverines are the team to beat in Class 2A-2. And we can't write about the Vian star without mentioning the following. It's an absolute crime that Wright is still waiting on his first offer because he's one of the best players in the state and that's not up for debate.

[player_tooltip player_id='700412' first='Peyton' last='Campbell'] - Sophomore Defensive Back - Stillwater

Stillwater needed to bounce back following a loss to Choctaw and the Pioneers were able to do just that on Friday night. In another road game, they beat Putnam City 28-7 and it was the defense that stood out in this one. They held the Pirates to just seven points and forced multiple turnovers. Sophomore safety [player_tooltip player_id='700412' first='Peyton' last='Campbell'] turned into a nightmare for the Putnam City passing attack as he came down with four interceptions all by himself. Over the last several seasons, we've always been impressed with Stillwater's defense and their ability to dominate the turnover battle. Last week was another example of that.

[player_tooltip player_id='211962' first='Phoenix' last='Murphy'] - Senior Quarterback - Norman

Norman had one of the best wins in Class 6A-1 as they doubled up Deer Creek with a 54-27 victory. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211962' first='Phoenix' last='Murphy'] has taken his game up a level or two this season and this performance was another example of just that. Murphy would throw for just over 400 yards and five touchdowns on 27-42 passing. He also ran the ball eight times for 80 yards and a score. Last season, Murphy was a decent quarterback but this year, he looks like he's one of the absolute best in Class 6A-1. And when you look around this class, there are some really good quarterbacks but Murphy absolutely feels like he belongs now.

[player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] - Senior Running Back - Muskogee

Defending champion Muskogee went on the road and absolutely dominated Sand Springs 49-33 to remain unbeaten on the season. A couple late Sandite touchdowns made the final score closer than what the game was. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='515901' first='PJ' last='Wallace'] went to work and was hard to stop. He would run the ball nearly 30 times and finished with just over 200 yards and four touchdowns. The 1-2 punch of Wallace and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Jamarian' last='Ficklin'] was very tough to stop and they were running the ball at will Friday night. Wallace is now over 1,000 yards on the season and continues to be arguably the best running back in 6A-2.

[player_tooltip player_id='188014' first='Shaker' last='Reisig'] - Senior Quarterback - Union

It was a record night for senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='188014' first='Shaker' last='Reisig'] and Union as they beat Broken Arrow 69-28. Reisig reminded the entire state of how dangerous he is in the pocket as arguably the most efficient quarterback in the state. He would throw for just over 500 yards and eight touchdowns on an eye-opening 28-32 passing. Out of those three numbers, we're not quite sure what the most impressive one is. The 500+ yards and eight touchdowns puts him all alone as the Union single game record holder but completing nearly 90 percent of his passes to do it is absolutely insane. We've long said Reisig is the most accurate QB in this class and that's why.
