<p><strong>1. Williamsburg (5-1) – </strong>The defending champions move up to the top spot with a 54-12 wipeout of visiting Fairfield. For the Raiders, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1516961' first='Grant' last='Hocker']</strong> completed 16 of 22 throws for 274 yards and five touchdowns without a turnover. [player_tooltip player_id='1241538' first='Grady' last='Wetjen'] and Nile Sinn combined for 123 carries for 139 yards and two scores. <p><strong>2. Wahlert Catholic (6-0) – </strong>Wahlert held off visiting Independence, 17-10, Friday night, setting up a biggie at West Delaware in Week 7. [player_tooltip player_id='1286448' first='Michael' last='Bormann'] rushed 15 times for 72 yards and a touchdown, and caught a couple of passes for 42 yards. Ben Francis added 35 yards and a score on three attempts. Tate Schope recorded four catches for 42 yards and led the team with 8.0 tackles (6 solo). Greg Smith had four solo stops and 2.0 tackles for loss, and Nathan Schiesl booted a 33-yard field goal and averaged 50.3 yards on three punts. </p>

<p><strong>3. Algona (6-0) – </strong>The Bulldogs vault up to No. 3 following Friday night's impressive 28-7 win against visiting Clear Lake. <p><strong>4.</strong> <strong>Solon (5-1) –</strong> Benton pulled off one of the bigger surprises around the state Friday by knocking off previous No. 1 Solon, 21-20, in Van Horne. Perhaps the Spartans got caught looking ahead to this week's trip to defending champion Williamsburg. [player_tooltip player_id='1360778' first='Tyler' last='Bell'] completed 19 of 33 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown with a rushing score at Benton. He connected with sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1532898' first='Maddox' last='Kelley'] on eight throws for 105 yards, and hit Owen Einwalter with a 51-yard touchdown. <p><strong>5. Mount Vernon (5-1) –</strong> Their lone loss being by one point at Solon, the Mustangs have responded to that Week 4 setback. Their latest triumph was a 46-14 domination at Assumption Friday. Kellen Haverback completed 70.8 percent of his throws for 280 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. [player_tooltip player_id='1360967' first='Cooper' last='Hird'] carried 20 times for 90 yards, and Jace Jaspers rushed for a score and caught eight passes for 111 yards and a TD. <p><strong>6. Sergeant Bluff-Luton (6-0) –</strong> The Warriors rushed 45 times for 428 yards and six touchdowns during a 41-21 win against visiting MOC-Floyd Valley Friday. The junior added a Pick-6, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks as a linebacker. Independence (4-2) – </strong>EJ Miller completed 27 of 44 passes for 237 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs lost at No. 2 Wahlert, 17-10, Friday night. Ezekiel Symonds caught six of those throws for 70 yards and a score, and [player_tooltip player_id='252312' first='Brady' last='Kurt'] came up with 11 catches for 110 yards. Nine of [player_tooltip player_id='1406617' first='Tate' last='Wood']'s 10.0 tackles were of the solo variety, and Kurt produced 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. Sophomore Campbell Schwartz connected for a 32-yard field goal on his lone attempt. </p>

Brady Coffman was good on 8 of 11 passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in the win, and sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='1844822' first='Beni' last='Kiphanzu'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1204524' first='Josh' last='Ringler'] combined for 17 carries for 163 yards, each scoring a TD.
