About Jozef
Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Not sure what the holdup is here. Reisz looks the part and produces. He caught 50 balls for 1,034 yards and 11 touchdowns as a tight end. That doesn’t happen by accident, especially when he’s at the top of every opponent’s scouting report. Programs could use him as a pass-catching tight end early while developing his blocking. His 78-inch wing span helps him on offense, but it shines on the other side of the ball. There’s potential as an outside linebacker or an edge, depending on the scheme. His older brother, Franz Reisz, is a true freshman defensive lineman at Northern Iowa, and Jozef shares a similar ceiling.

racked up the majority of those numbers, finishing with an impressive 171 yards on 7 catches and 2 touchdowns. Once again, Reisz proved a significant mismatch against the DBs thanks to his size, being used as a screen-option in which he would run over defenders on his way down the field, and shined particularly as a redzone threat in one-on-one coverage. Reisz has been one of the best prospects we’ve seen out of this class this season, and he’s bound to make more splashy plays in the postseason.

continues to build himself as one of the best TEs in Iowa as he played a significant role in Harlan Community’s upset win at home over Nevada this week. Reisz finished with 134 yards on 7 catches and a touchdown in the win. Reisz has been a complete mismatch against DBs lining up wide, and he uses his size and athleticism to his full advantage. He did so against Nevada, as the secondary struggled to contain him, allowing Reisz to nab several chunk gains in the passing game. Reisz has averaged 20.1 yards per catch on 33 receptions this season, and he remains one of the best unsigned players out of Iowa for the class of 2025 remaining so far.

. Reisz finished with 178 yards on 8 catches and 2 touchdowns. Reisz often lines up out wide, with his size and strong hands allowing him to establish himself as a clear mismatch against opposing CBs. Reisz’s best play came off a screen pass, in which he stiff-armed a CB to get outside and raced 68 yards down the sideline to score the first touchdown of the night for Harlan Community. Reisz already has amassed more receiving yards (458) through 5 games this season than he had all of last season, and there’s no sign that he will be slowing down any time soon.
