Phillipsburg (3-1) at West Orange (4-1), 8pm

Playing mostly a Group V schedule, Phillipsburg looks to dominate their new section in Group IV. With their only loss being by 7 points, expect them to try to exact their revenge against West Orange as they avenge a 2023 Regional Final loss. The Stateliners' leading receiver is [player_tooltip player_id='1189138' first='Matthew' last='Scerbo']. This year Scerbo has slashed 19/376/5 as a target, leading the team in each category. Expanding his game some this year, Scerbo has intercepted 2 passes, recovered 2 fumbles, and made 22 tackles so far on the season. Fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='1189137' first='Felix' last='Matos'] bas been a jack-of-all-trades and used in a wide variety of ways so far. Matos is the 'Liners' second-leading receiver with 16/313/3 on the season, is third on the team in rushing yardage with 190 and 2 scores on 9 attempts, has thrown a 25-yard touchdown strike, and has intercepted a pass to go along with 17 tackles on defense.

West Orange looks to finally get to the Mountain's summit this season. What is different about this year than in years past? The Mountaineers have their best quarterback in [player_tooltip player_id='1190937' first='Charlie' last='LaMorte']. By way of Don Bosco last season as a mid-season transfer, LaMorte is in command of the offense, putting up numbers, and spreading the ball around. LaMorte has gone 62-98 (63%) for 1142 yards with 16 touchdowns to 3 interceptions, while also punching one in on the ground himself. Speaking of the ground, the Mountaineers ground game has been stabilized by junior [player_tooltip player_id='1307608' first='Farad' last='Green']. Green leads the team in rushing attempts, yardage, and scores with 60, 436, and 4, respectively.

Hanover Park (4-0) at Pequannock (5-0), 2pm

An undefeated Hanover Park team boasts a three-headed threat in the backfield with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1002361' first='Joey' last='Borrello'], [player_tooltip player_id='1021109' first='Joey' last='Filippone'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1515090' first='Azmir' last='Parks']. Parks leads the team in touchdowns with his 3 on 30 carries for 148 yards; Filippone leads the team in yardage with 164 yards on 25 carreis and 1 score; and Borrello leads the team in carries with 38 for 143 yards and 2 scores. Parks is second on the team with 8 receptions that have led to 97 yards and 1 score. [player_tooltip player_id='1021111' first='Hector' last='Lopez'] is a menace for opposing offenses. In his senior season, Lopez has made 39 tackles, forced a fumble, sacked the quarterback 3 times, and made two tackles for loss. He must be identified on every play by Pequannock.

The Panthers have an equally as productive ground game that is spearheaded by a pair of seniors; however, it is to the defense we look for a few standout Panthers that will be on the prowl. [player_tooltip player_id='1515091' first='Nick' last='Cialkowski'] is the team leader in tackles with 47. In addition to this standout total, he has registered one-half sack and the same number of tackles for loss. Along the trenches senior [player_tooltip player_id='1515092' first='Justin' last='Gryszkin'] looks to regulate both sides of the ball. Defensively he has been a disruptive force with 37 tackles, including 6 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.

Cliffside Park (4-0) at North Bergen (4-0), 2pm

The Super Football Conference's Ivy Division allows for struggling teams to rebuild their programs. It appears that both Cliffside Park and North Begin are vying for position to break out of the Ivy and once again be eligible for the state playoffs.

As much as I want to cover this game and give it the juice it probably deserves due to what it could mean for both programs, there is very limited information about both teams. Cliffside Park seems to be led by senior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1515094' first='Chris' last='Gregory'] who has caught two touchdown receptions; whereas North Bergen is led by junior rusher [player_tooltip player_id='1515095' first='Alexier' last='Deleon'], who has scored 3 times on the ground.

Morris Knolls (4-0) at Mount Olive (3-1), 2pm

Morris Knolls look to keep stride with Woodbridge as both jostle for the North IV's top seeded team. The Golden Eagles deploy two backs out of the backfield that seem to compliment each other well. [player_tooltip player_id='1515096' first='Justin' last='Hansen'], a senior, leads the team in scores with 5 on the ground. In addition to those 5 scores, Hanson has rushed 27 times for 372 yards. Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1043551' first='Bobby' last='Brickner'] is the team leader in attempts (59) and yards (455), while remaining one score off of the team lead with 4 scores of his own. Brickner is also amongst the team leaders in tackles with 30. Of those 30 tackles, 1 has been for a loss, while he has also forced and recovered a fumble. Brickner has also picked off a pass.

Mount Olive hopes to build off of last year's deep playoff run with many of their key contributors returning. [player_tooltip player_id='1043545' first='Tyler' last='Cumming'] is back, doing [player_tooltip player_id='1043545' first='Tyler' last='Cumming']-things, as he leads the Mount Olive on the ground with a 57/457/7 slash line. Cumming has also done more than his fair share on defense, contributing with 20 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and intercepting 1 pass. However, it is [player_tooltip player_id='1087572' first='Lincoln' last='Youtz'] that continues to be the man on defense, leading his team with 45 tackles. Additionally, Youtz has made 6 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and recovered a fumble. Finally, junior lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1515097' first='James' last='Giammanco'] is right on Youtz's heels with with his three sacks.
Wayne Valley (4-1) at Wayne Hills (3-2), 6pm

The Battle for Wayne continues as both teams are off to promising starts this season. Valley looks to junior gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1515098' first='Danny' last='Ferrauilo'] to lead them to earn this year's bragging rights. Thus far, Ferrauilo has gone 88-128 for 1113 yards with 8 touchdowns to 4 picks, also scoring once on the ground. Ferrauilo's two favorite targets are a pair of 2025 graduates in receivers [player_tooltip player_id='1515100' first='Darrius' last='Rivers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1515103' first='Luke' last='Rubino']. Although Rubino leads in receptions (17 to 14), Rubino has produced slightly more yardage (295 to 276) and scores (3 to 1). When Valley needs a stop on defense it seems as though they look to senior [player_tooltip player_id='1453965' first='Aidan' last='Kindler']. Kindler is second on the team in tackles with 29, while leading the team in sacks with 3.5. He has also made 2 tackles for loss and forced a fumble.

Looking to stay atop the Valley, looking down on them from the top of the hill is Wayne Hills. Deploying a nearly balanced offensive attack, Hills has passed 86 times and rushed 77 times so far this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1515104' first='Jonnie' last='Mongelli'] is their leading rusher with 373 yards and 4 scores on 53 attempts, where [player_tooltip player_id='1515106' first='Max' last='De Lagarde'] is their most productive target, despite being second on the team with 11 receptions, he leads the team with 247 yards and 3 scores. [player_tooltip player_id='1515107' first='Shaun' last='George'], a sophomore, is having a breakout campaign. Hills' fourth-leading tackler actually leads his squad in sacks (3) and tackles for loss (7).
