PrepRedzoneMN has loved seeing Minnesotans stay top of updating their Hudl accounts, game tape, and of course, Midseason tape. You have to take advantage of these windows, and schools and scouts are watching tape on prospects from all classes during the season. Before Week 7 kicks off tonight with 55 games throughout the state, PRzMN wanted to dig in and evaluate some more Midseason highlight tapes for your enjoyment. Check out these Minnesota preps below!

--

Been a good season for Worthington product Dorcey, a 6', 180 lb. LB and RB out of the 2025 class. In his 2024 Week 3-6 highlights, in which Dorcey posted 30 tackles, 7 TFLs, two PAT blocks, and two forced fumbles, the senior is a fun watch, especially if you like hard hitters. Dorcey goes all-out into contact and is a strong tackler who can force RBs backfield when he squares them up and makes contact. The 180 lber. fights through blocks and finds and shoots gaps along the LOS and can pursue to the sideline. He's also a shifty ball carrier who gets slippery past tackle attempts when he puts his cleat in the ground and cuts and crushed some kids as a lead-blocking fullback, who also does a good job of running down and corralling LBs and DBs in the open field. A bit lean, but fast, physical, and versatile is never a bad combination. No reported college interest or offers so DIII and NAIA college coaches reading this shoot him a message!

Traditionally a defensive back and wide receiver, Chatfield's standout senior Carrier has moved to RB due to some injuries in the Gophers backfield but still has some impressive reps as a WR, DB, and overall football player. Good play speed and a strong kid who punches above his weight, Carrier is a smooth route runner and dangerous after the catch and with the ball in his hands. He can weave, cut, and easily evade defenders in the open field and opens his midseason tape with a ridiculous TD run on a screen that saw him cut back against the grain and seemingly make every defender on the field miss. Carrier can break tackles and hurt defenses if he gets the edge as a RB or WR, tracks the ball well and shows good hands, and is a physical blocker who will do the dirty work for his teammates. Defensively, he closes quickly and is a good tackler who can bring down ball carriers 1v1 and in space. He's visited UW-La Crosse and received junior day invites from Hamline, Augsburg, and UM-Morris, but hasn't reported an official offer. Small town, small school, dynamic athlete and football player who would make a college team better. Get at him.

Farmington pumps out college-ready LBs at a consistent clip and have an unoffered senior having a good season in 6', 185 lb. Joe Seyfert. The junior had a good showing and caught our eye during the summer camp circuit, as he has excellent quickness and has tested in the 4.5s in the shuttle and sub-7-seconds in the L-drill, along with a 40 in the 4.8s and nearly a 9' broad. Rehak also reports a 500-pound squat and a 315 lb. power clean, and at the midseason point of the 2024 season had posted 40 tackles, 5 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a sack.

A two-way contributor who is putting some good reps on tape on both sides of the ball, Rehak is fast and physical, does a good job of reading and flowing to the football, is quick when closing, and is a good tackler in space. He's great in pass pro from the RB spot and also had a big forced fumble from ripping the ball out from a receiver right after the catch. Rehak shoots gaps and beats blocks with speed and quickness. The near 200 lber. does a good job of sniffing out the rock and finding creases along the LOS and under lineman and would-be blockers, and has sideline-to-sideline speed in pursuit. The tradition of standout Farmington Tigers LBs is in good hands!

Great size (unverified) at a premier position as a defensive tackle in Minnesota's second-largest football classification. Nibombe has visited MSU-Moorhead, Hamline, and UW-La Crosse, but hasn't reported an official offer past the midseason point of the 2024 season. Big kid on tape who does a good job of making tackles through contact and can mirror and shuffle to track and close on ball carriers at or behind the LOS. Nibombe shows some lateral agility and balance for a big 3T and can hold a gap through single and double teams to stuff up an opponent's run game. Could be a nice pickup for a regional college program, especially once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program. I think his best football is in front of him.

A stock-rising 2026 out of the defending 5A state champion Chanhassen Storm, junior TE/OLB [player_tooltip player_id='1104843' first='Kade' last='Bush'] is a tall, long 6'4, 200 and is a good athlete who reports an unverified 4.33 shuttle, 9'2 broad, and 31" vertical. Bush is also a standout lacrosse player for the Storm, and the size, athleticism, varsity experience, and multi-sport background have college teams excited, as Bush visited North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and Iowa State in September, a good sign as the all-important junior year continues to progress.

Bush opens his tape with a crushing block wrapping back around the LOS from the wing, and has a couple reps of him really blowing up and crushing defenders in the hole and around the LOS. He looks more filled in from his sophomore tape, with that length is still noticeable on film as well. Also added some pass-catching and YAC to his skill set, and has a good rep of him trucking two defenders on a solid pickup for his offense. He also shows some vision, quickness & shiftiness in his cuts, and balance through contact. Bush is also a physical blocker, with great leg drive after contact, wins the hand placement battle, and is a strong kid who can handle himself at the LOS or out in space. With an excellent frame that can really add some weight in college, as well as an exciting and athletic YAC and pass-catching ability that can be hard to find at the TE position, plus physicality and blocking prowess, you have the makings of a high-ceiling college prospect. I think Bush could be a D1 kid judging from the tape and the reported athletic numbers. This kid is going to get another rankings bump in the coming weeks, and I'd keep an eye on him in the developing 2026 recruiting space. He also has a couple of other impressive reps of him climbing the ladder throughout the midseason tape. With the ball in hand, Benson demonstrates good burst, both when he gets vertical up the field, but also out of his cuts and breaks in the open field. He's got some impressive shake and left some defenders in the dust through the midseason point, and is also a solid route runner who can get open against both man and zone coverage. Only 12 followers on Twitter, two of whom are coaches, so I think this kid could be a major land for a regional DII, DIII, or NAIA. He's a physical tackler who triggers on the ball with pace and does a great job of dropping his hips, getting skinny, and dipping and ripping under blocking attempts at the perimeter. Crafty when beating blocking attempts in the open field, Wilson doesn't allow extra gains when he makes contact and sticks ball carriers and tackles well in space. He displays good burst and shows some shake as a ball carrier and can lead block and open holes for his fellow RBs effectively. He has a clip of him laying out a couple LBs and DBs in his way, including an especially brutal block against SSP. Plus, he's a good tackler and can hold the edge of a defense with good leverage. Good season for the Wolfpack's strong safety so far.

Breck High School's [player_tooltip player_id='1602736' first='CJ' last='Roberts'] put in some major work this offseason and is seeing it pay dividends on the gridiron as a junior. The second rep of his tape is him catching a WR screen, sticking his cleat in the ground, and getting vertical like he was shot out of a cannon. Roberts shows some big-time speed and explosiveness to open his junior tape. The 185 lber is also shifty after the catch with good balance, displays a big catch radius who can extend his arms and reel in receptions away from his body, and is a solid route runner who can create separation out of his breaks. A standout performer at this summer's Minnesota Gophers prospect camps who was a terror during 1v1s and brings some serious quickness and ability to separate to the table, Young is having a heckuva junior season and was impressive in person when I saw Robbinsdale Cooper take on Robbinsdale Armstrong early in the 2024 regular season. Young was the Hawks' big play weapon and scored multiple TDs, as well as an INT, in the loss to their crosstown rival, showing a lot of the same competitiveness and playmaking ability he showed this summer in Dinkytown. Through six games of action, Young posted 26 receptions for 437 yards and 7 TDs, and 537 all-purpose yards, for the 5-1 Hawks. Young demonstrates good speed that can take the top off the defense and beat man and zone coverage, impressive, game-breaking burst and can go 0-60 seemingly in a blink, and good ball skills and tracks the deep ball well too. I love his footwork and how he can drop his hips at the top of the route. Young can create some real separation throughout a route, can cut at top speed, and is quick and shifty after the catch too. I like his clean pass set, as he stays square, doesn't overextend, uses clean footwork, and can drop the anchor and handle both speed and power rushes alike. Jackson is also a good long-snapper and brings a balanced skillset to the table as a high school. I got to see Mansfield live against Andover, and the young man is impressive, especially given how low you have to play in that Elk River rushing attack and what that means for a legit 6'9-6'10 OT. The midseason tape shows a senior looks thicker and has put on weight in the offseason, and he has improved his finishing ability and can topple defenders over once he gets his paws into them and starts driving his feet. Mansfield can send defenders on their butts when he locks out his arms and has a good rep of him getting downfield and lead blocking in space on a RB screen, showing off some body control. A good athlete who caught my eye at the UW-River Falls Mega Camp, Ratliff has received some serious recruiting interest but hasn't reported an official college offer past the midseason point of the 2024 regular season. The senior midseason tape shows a RB with quick feet, the speed to go the distance, good burst, and a patient running style. He can easily run through arm tackles and bounce off weaker tackle attempts at his lower body, owns great contact balance, and worked and powered through some good tackle attempts so far this season. He also throws a mean truck stick and is a strong tackler with the play speed to run down loose ball carriers from the backside of the LOS.
