When the calendar flipped from August to September, football action around the Garden State officially began everywhere. I've gotten the opportunity to see firsthand a lot of the talent, yet I still have a list of nearly 200 athletes to look into--which grows every day. I haven't been everywhere and I haven't seen anyone, but I'm confident in the athletes listed below as of right now.

After naming the first 30 prospects in the class of 2029 (8th grade in the 2024-2025 school year) to the New Jersey 2029 Watchlist, that list has more than doubled over the last month. Below are 52 new names on the list--which bring the total to 82 prospects on the Watchlist. Before that, please remember:

This is NOT a ranking. This is NOT a final list.

I will be adding new names to this list regularly until next August (2025).

Here's a look at the 51 new prospects listed alphabetically by first name.

Upon watching Rabrun in warmups of a game earlier this season, he instantly solidified himself as one of the premier RBs in the 2029 class. Built like a truck with excellent speed and impressive weight room numbers on top of what he does on the field.

Originally liked him as a Running Back based off his performance at our PRZ Next Middle School camp last year, but he's continued to evolve. Can also catch and play slot WR at on offense. Defensively he can play CB/S/OLB.

Any time Gordon takes a handoff, or even gets the ball in his hands for that matter, it looks like he's shot out of a cannon. Fresh off a 23-touchdown spring season and MVP award, Gordon is running wild again this spring,

An active Defensive Lineman who has primarily played DT during his youth career, but there is film of him lining up as a stand up Defensive Tackle. Being on a team that sits 0-3 as of this write up (10/4/24) doesn't bode well for a defensive player, but Gelato has ability.

After taking a reclass year, and then coming off a foot injury, Ruane has returned with vengeance to help his Randolph team down the stretch. Very clearly up 10 pounds of muscle, he looked impressive in his first game action of the year a week ago. A dual-threat kid with a lot of upside.

One of the most dynamic prospects, regarding of position, that I've seen in New Jersey for this 2029 class as of October 2024. On film Messiah has the elite speed and quickness that other players wish they had. He gets to full speed in seemingly one or two steps and has vision that simply can't be taught.

First saw him in December 2023 as a member of the AYF Jersey Shore 12U All-Stars. A year later, he's playing for the newly-formed St. James Royals Pop Warner program. Primarily a MLB, he reads, reacts and gets down hill quickly. Also plays Fullback on offense.

Brings a ton of athleticism to the Quarterback position, having played Wide Receiver last year, in addition to being one of the top basketball prospects in New Jersey. To frame it, Brown is one of those kids that walks bye and makes you say, "wow, that kid's an athlete."

A two-way lineman for the Delsea Knights of the highly competitive Tri-County United Football League in South Jersey. Edelman has had his moments on the defensive line, but watching his film an Offensive Guard is what captured my attention. Has quick feet and understands the importance of getting his hips into blocks.

A prospect with the body and frame that screams potential. as he progresses through his career. Has played Running Back and Linebacker throughout his youth career, but I'm not sure where he exactly fits, as his size/speed don't translate to those positions at this point. Development is key here.

Putting it bluntly, Bonsu could line up at any position on the field and I'd put my money on him making a big play. The younger brother of current Ohio State DB Jayden Bonsu, little brother brings a ton of versatility and skill. Long term I think he plays DB like big bro, but in his most recent middle school game for Hillside, he went 8/10 for 250 and a pair of TDs as a Quarerback.

As of October 2024, he's listed 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds and lis built like a prospect somewhere between a Defensive End and Linebacker. Appears to have long arms and a quick first step off the snap as an Edge rusher. Development and growth will determine what position he ultimately ends up playing, but regardless, he can straight up get after the QB.

An interior D-Linemen that is improving more and more with each game he plays for the Morristown Wildcats. Was last unofficially listed at 5-foot-10 and 215-pounds, but looks bigger than that in recent film. Throws his hands well and should continue to improve with work.

I haven't seen as much of Tejada as I would like to, but what I have seen of his defensive play, is encouraging. He's an invaluable member of the Glassboro program that can be seen making plays all over the field. That's the case with [player_tooltip player_id='1514925' first='Tymir' last='Sanders'], who is making the most of his reclass year. The difference between him at the end of last season (December 2023) to when I saw him live again in April 2024 was impressive, but he's taken it to another level as of October 2024. Plays significantly bigger than the 5-foot-7 and 130-pound frame he lists himself at. Sanders will straight up throw his body around like he's 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds back at the Safety position.

Running Backs come in all shapes, sizes and variations of skill sets. Essentially everything that I said about his twin brother [player_tooltip player_id='1514949' first='Zy' last='Wilson'], can be said for [player_tooltip player_id='1514948' first='Zyir' last='Wilson']. As is the case for both brothers, they're doing well right now with size and athleticism. If they continue to develop the natural gifts they have, who knows what the future could hold.
