Ruane is a dual sport athlete, not only playing QB, but also showcases his ability on the infield for his school’s baseball team. Despite this it is Football where Ruane’s talent shines brightest. Ruane, like many QB/Baseball players before him, shows off some fantastic off platform throwing ability, due in large part to his baseball background. Patrick Mahomes is a perfect example off this, as the reason he makes the mind boggling plays he does is because of being used to having to make similar throws on the baseball diamond. Unorthodox throws are not the only talent Ruane showcases, as he also has some impressive processing ability that allows him to make throws on time and on target.

After taking a reclass year, and then coming off a foot injury, Ruane has returned with vengeance to help his Randolph team down the stretch. Very clearly up 10 pounds of muscle, he looked impressive in his first game action of the year a week ago. A dual-threat kid with a lot of upside.
