, a rising sophomore, looks to keep the high level of play going into the future. Paired up with a tight end, I watched small read and connect on a back shoulder stop route based on how the defensive was playing. This was especially impressive given that it was with a tight end in a camp setting. I also thought that Schmalz delivered on outstanding ball placement; however, due to this being a camp setting the timing with his paired receiver was off. I do, however, want Schmalz to continue to read defenses and take what is given to him. During the 7v7 period I thought that he predetermined where he wanted to go with the ball.
