Midseason 2025 Wide Receiver Check-In

<p>Last week I checked in on the juniors midway through the season. Now I'm working on the senior class. I started with the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/09/midseason-2025-quarterback-check-in/">quarterbacks</a> and <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/10/midseason-2025-running-back-check-in/">running backs</a>, so now it's time to check out the receivers.. I'll check in on the top three receivers in our 2025 rankings, evaluate a few more who have had strong starts to the season and then list a few more we hope to evaluate soon.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Midseason Check-In: 2025 Wide Receivers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">It took Bolder a couple of weeks to build a rapport with his quarterback, as Forest Hills added its starting signal caller soon before the season, but now he's really gotten going. He had 30 catches for 425 yards while playing defense and special teams as well. Bolder plays bigger than his size would indicate and he's always a threat to beat defenses down the field.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Snook Peterkin is off to a huge start to his senior season. It started when he committed to Virginia Tech at the beginning of the year and he's proven over and over how big of a playmaker he can be. Peterkin has great size, but can also win after the catch with speed and short-area quickness.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I always start each one of Rowe's evaluations with the fact that he can absolutely jump out of the stadium. Despite not having elite size, Rowe is one of the best jump ball receivers in the state and JM Robinson's coaches aren't afraid to call 50-50 balls. Rowe is shifty and has really displayed some nice moves after the catch as a senior.</p>    <h3 class="wp-block-heading">2025 Wide Receivers Impressing Early</h3>   <p>Obviously, we're paying attention to what prospects outside of the top three are doing. Here are a few guys further down the rankings who are really impressing.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lejeune's offense as a whole has slowed ever so slightly from last season, but Finnerty is hitting his stride at the right time and just had by far his best game of the season, a five-catch, 146-yard, three-touchdown performance against Spring Creek. Now halfway through the season, Finnerty is within reach of a 1,000-yard season, something he just barely missed last year. He has good speed and route-running ability and should be on the radar of a lot of the FCS schools in the Carolinas.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Brady went off in a thrilling loss to Northwestern (SC) in the opener, and now he's finding great success in a slot receiver role. Interestingly, he does a lot of his best work on the boundaries and on deep balls and he has excellent balance and body control. He plays that role extremely well and has a really unique skillset, given his position, frame, and physical abilities.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Dodd has an excellent combination of size and speed and those traits have allowed him to excel both before and after the catch. He got off to a huge start this season, setting a career-high for yardage in a season by the third quarter of the second game. He's cooled off ever so slightly, but he's one of the best uncommitted receivers in the state.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other 2025 Wide Receivers Who Have Impressed</h2>   <p>Here are some more guys we've liked early.
