The Howard commit made probably what was the biggest play of the game, which was a 32 yard TD reception on the first play of the 4th quarter to tie the game up at 7-7. CJ did an excellent job of winning against man coverage, high-pointing the football in the endzone on a fade route. Once Dudley tied the game, momentum quickly swung their way.

Neely blew up on the recruiting trail this offseason and capped off his recruitment with a recent commitment to Howard. Honestly though, I think Neely has potential Group of Five or even Power Four upside because his acceleration and ability after the catch will translate to the college level. Neely averaged a ridiculous 21.2 yards per catch last year, but I’d like to see him be a bit more consistent with his hands.
