He makes a quick read at the start of the play due to very good anticipation and quickly executes his assignment. You can quickly see in his film that he has the competitive edge and linebacker mentality you want to see in the position. He has good balance in his play, engaging offensive linemen with his hands to keep separation to allow himself to rip out of the block and make a tackle. He shows very good range to cover the field in run and pass coverage. He is explosive at the point of contact and loves to hit people. He has impressive arm strength as a sophomore, effortlessly throwing 40 yards on target, with good zip on the ball. His athleticism is showing in his agility to maneuver the pocket and tuck and run if needed. His athleticism has allowed Godwin to use him at WR as well to get the ball in his hands. He is showing good poise in the pocket, keeping good balance and bend in his knees, feeling pressure, and maneuvering the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. He has good accuracy on his throws keeping the ball away from defenders. He naturally provides an open target due to his size, and he has good field awareness to find open grass. After the catch, his long strides get him 5 yards within three steps, and his size makes him a hard runner to bring down. He is a very good blocker, bending well for his size, with very good leg drive and grip strength to sustain and finish the block. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He is also playing DE showing good initial quickness off the ball. Shows a good power rush to get to the QB and strong run defense. Listed as a Strong Safety, you'll see him in the box playing an LB role or in nickel to cover a receiver. He shows good processing in pass coverage, reads the QB, and puts himself in a position to jump routes with his good ball skills. He shows physical toughness in the box to take on offensive linemen and is a dependable talker who will drive through players. Also playing RB on offense, showing good patience and vision at the snap. He keys the hole and displays good contact balance and burst through the hole. The senior WR out of Bristol, VA is a slot WR that you can move around pre-snap to create favorable matchups. He has good release off the line of scrimmage with quick feet and COD to create separation.
