Gray dominated the line of scrimmage. He batted passes at the line on multiple occasions, stuffed Bullis’ run game, and generated constant pressure. His sack in the fourth quarter showcased both strength and quickness off the edge. Gray also opened up holes offensively on key runs, pulling as a blocker. Few players influence both the passing and rushing game like he did. Gray finished the game with five tackles, one sack, and three pass breakups. He certainly showed why he is the No. 1 player in Virginia and one of the tops in the nation. Gray doing what he was able to do from the edge is unfair. Nobody is blocking him without a LOT of help.

In case you didn’t notice, not only is Gray the top ranked linemen he is also our number 1 recruit for the entire class. Gray is one of top ranked recruits in the entire country and has 20 plus Power 5 offers. He blows you away on tape both on the offensive and defensive line.

A top 100 ranked basketball star as well, Gray has a plethora of choices for his college destination. He is 6’4 and 285 pounds and has yet to take a snap as a junior. You can see why LSU is really hoping his next visit lines up with his commitment to the Tigers

I do think he can play on the defensive line at the next level too and honestly prefer him on that side, but he is in good shape either way.

Saint Christopher’s Darius Gray Darius Gray 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL St. Christopher's | 2026 State VA name keeps popping up all over my twitter feed with offers and I am not surprised. The top ranked prospect from our initial 2026 ranking Gray recently picked up offers from Penn State and Missouri, Adding on to his never end list of power 5 opportunities the young man just finished an all-star basketball sophomore season and he was selected First-Team All Prep for his work. The two sport star will surely wind up on your television set in a couple years time, here is what I said about him after our rankings a year ago:

The Saints offense starts behind Gray as he is a excellent run and pass blocker and his footwork are some of the best work I have ever seen not just for his age. Only entering his sophomore campaign the young man has already picked up offers from nearly 20 schools and counting! When I say offers mean the power 5 schools such as Michigan, Alabama, Georgia and Miami have come calling just to name a few. The sky is the limit for Gray, I think personally he is a young Fletcher Cox at defensive tackle but many schools seem to prefer him as an offensive tackle. I have no issue with that, you just cant help but see a young Fletcher each time he flies off the ball defensively.

Coming in as our number 1 overall recruit for the class of 2026 is St. Christopher’s Darius Gray. For those that don’t know Gray is a force both at offensive and defensive tackle for the Saints, nabbing Freshman All-American honors in 2022. The Saints offense starts behind Gray as he is a excellent run and pass blocker and his footwork are some of the best work I have ever seen not just for his age. Only entering his sophomore campaign the young man has already picked up offers from nearly 20 schools and counting!
