Jaerron Johnson Jaerron Johnson 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR St. Christopher's | 2027 State VA is an explosive wide receiver who looked unstoppable at times as a junior for St. Christopher’s School in 2025. His ability to create separation with both quickness and pure speed downfield is incredibly fun to watch, and being able to get open with different elements is very attractive to college coaches.

Johnson has excellent hands and consistently attacks the football in the air on comeback routes and slants.

He’s another player who should start raking in more P4 offers in 2026. He’s reportedly “leaning” towards Temple, but he has offers from schools like Penn State, PITT, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and WVU as well.

Johnson is an explosive wide receiver with size, speed, and big-play ability. Lined up both in the slot and outside, he consistently threatens defenses vertically. He runs past safeties on seams and posts, catches the ball in stride, and finishes plays in the red zone. Johnson’s long stride shows up when he opens up in space, and he has no issue pulling away from defenders.

Johnson is dangerous after the catch. He breaks tackles, plants and cuts with confidence, and turns short throws like slants and screens into long touchdowns. Johnson shows good balance through contact and enough strength to run through arm tackles, especially when defenders take poor angles.

He also shows strong ball skills. Johnson adjusts well to back-shoulder throws, tracks the ball cleanly, and finishes catches even with defenders draped on him. He sells routes effectively, which helps him create separation with subtle body movement. Johnson keeps defensive backs on their heels.

Overall, Johnson is a vertical playmaker with real burst and finishing speed. Continuing to add more intermediate route work to his highlights would be a nice touch. That’s just a little nitpicking, though. He’s explosive and an exciting player to watch.

Aligns in inside and outside receiver positions, providing a strong route runner for St. Christopher’s offense. Good release off the line of scrimmage with good stem, allowing him to create separation, with the balance and strength to not get put out of his route by contact. Good ball tracking and hands make him a dependable target for his QB. Keeps his speed in stride through the catch, with good elusiveness, balance, and speed after the catch to create positive yards. Currently holds offers from Virginia Tech, East Carolina, and William & Mary.
