The 2026 Quarterback Class has changed a lot since the beginning of this season. A ton of movement, a few new additions, but a very familiar top 7. Here, I rehash many QBs that I've spoken about several times, and I explain why I've ranked them where they are today.

Yes- [player_tooltip player_id='568192' first='Tommy' last='Carr'] has earned an insane rankings boost and is the current #1 QB in the Class of 2026 Rankings.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of Tommy prior to the season, but he's exceeded all of my expectations.

During week 2, I watched him play against Dexter. Tommy picked apart the defense while showing elite IQ and playmaking ability. There were several instances where Tommy seemed to audible the play. Plus, there were other times when Tommy showed excellent pocket presence, evaded pressure, and found a man on the run. I'm being very general here, but trust me when I say Tommy played like a Power 5 QB.

I don't think he's quite at the level of say an elite B1G 10 prospect, but I also wouldn't be shocked if a team like Michigan State came calling this offseason.

Jaxson has played very well this season, and he's earned a rankings boost as a result.

Jaxson's transition to QB1 has been seamless, and he's leading one of the best offenses in Michigan. Much of the offense requires Jaxson to throw off-platform or on the run, and he's mostly great in those situations. He has a quick, consistent release and is able to effortlessly launch the ball downfield. Jaxson still needs to work on his accuracy.

One of the most prominent reasons why he's ranked so high is the athletic testing numbers. Jaxson is the most athletic quarterback that I've ever seen in my four years scouting high school football. Granted, I don't have testing numbers from every QB I've ever seen, but still, I know that Jaxson is an elite high school athlete.

He's a MAC prospect in my book, and I'm looking forward to seeing where Jaxson ends up committing.

Nate rolls into this update as my #3 quarterback.

Nate is and always has been an extremely talented quarterback. Generally, he's a step above others when it comes to fundamentals, arm talent, IQ, and accuracy. His tape quite good, and it features a good variety of throws. I also know that Nate has strung together a number of extremely strong offseason performances.

I also need to watch much, much more of Nate. When I watched him last season during the state championship, I was very impressed with several throws, but I was also left feeling like he didn't play his best game. He's shown a few more bumps in the road than my #1 and #2 guys, but Nate is still a low D1 prospect in my book.

Jake is another prospect that I desperately need to watch in person again. It was a year and a half ago that I last watched an in-person performance, and by all accounts, Jake has shown significant growth since then.

I've been inadvertently watching Jake's throws all season, as I've kept a close eye on some of his best offensive weapons. Leading a high-powered passing offense, Jake has a few eye-popping throws every week and is undoubtedly gaining a TON of great experience in the process. I'm especially curious to see how he fares this postseason.

For now, Jake is #4 and a fringe D1 prospect.

Andrew Knight is a great talent. Though, I haven't seen a whole lot from him this season.

I'm wait-and-see with Deuce. I'd love to see his Junior highlights, but right now, I think his best film was from his freshman season. I don't know enough about him to comment about development, but he simply hasn't put out enough good tape to convince me that he's improved a ton.

Still, I've seen the talent in person. Andrew has an amazing arm, phenomenal instincts, and he came out of middle school with impeccable accuracy. I hope to see Knight at some point this offseason, where I'll be able to get a better handle on his current abilities!

Kayd is a Division 2 Quarterback in my eyes.

I got an amazing look at Kayd during his game against Hudsonville. Starting with the good, Kayd has consistent fundamentals and usually great accuracy when he has his feet planted in the pocket. Really, Kayd can make any throw when not pressured.

Though, Hudsonville put a lot of pressure on Kayd, and I thought he played worse as the game progressed. Mostly, this game via accuracy issues. A few missed throws that he should have made, granted he was under pressure for a few of them.

I think that Kayd is worlds above most quarterabacks in Michigan, but currently doesn't have those elite traits that I'm looking for in a Division 1 prospect.

Lastly, we have [player_tooltip player_id='566978' first='Brady' last='Thomas'] shooting up to the #7 spot in my QB rankings. He's currently a great D3 prospect in my eyes.

I've seen the arm on display several times during the offseason. This season, Brady seems to have turned a corner. Could a lot of it be because of new talent and coaching? Yes- there's no doubt that the WR core is much better this year. Still, Brady been throwing with a lot more consistency this season. The deep ball looks great, and he has good timing with some of his young receivers. Plus, he's getting the ball out a lot quicker.

Brady still has some room to grow, namely with his fundamentals (just a bit inconsistent). I hope that Brady is able to heal up and come back with an even better Senior season!
