I'm incredibly excited for this QB class to shine in 2026. To this point, we haven't seen the bulk of this class let it loose at the Varsity level. Several extremely high-upside '28 QBs with limited experience, now starting to gear up to be QB1. Here are five QBs who could take a massive junior year leap.

Reid had himself a productive sophomore season, and he's looking like the clear-cut Varsity QB1 for Grand Haven next year.

In my opinion, Reid is the highest-upside QB on this list. Watch his highlight tape, and you'll see incredible arm talent. Plays like 0:17 showcase Reid's quick trigger and great downfield accuracy. He tosses the ball 30+ yards downfield with ease. In the short-intermediate areas of the field, Reid is able to throw the ball on a frozen rope.

Time will tell how Reid will fare as the full-time varsity starter. I feel that as long as Reid works hard this offseason with no setbacks, he should have a great Junior season.

I'm quite excited for Caiden's junior season. He's in a very QB-friendly offense, has a big arm, and the size to be a legit prospect. The lefty QB has a good number of highlights, both inside and outside the pocket. In particular, the plays at 0:29 and 0:36 showcase excellent deep balls.

He isn't a bad athlete, either. Caiden has the ability to evade the pocket and earn good yardage on the ground. Caiden doesn't have elite speed, but he is deceptively elusive. Caiden absolutely has upside as a pro-style or dual-threat QB in college. Of course, this offseason is going to be critical for Caiden. Polish the IQ, hit the weight room, get those practice reps, and Caiden should be a phenomenal (presumably) QB1 next season.

Next up for Grand Blanc!

Jake has the potential to put up amazing numbers in Grand Blanc's pass-heavy offense. Last offseason, I got to briefly watch Jake at a workout, and I was impressed by his throwing motion, velocity, and accuracy. He looked like a solid young QB who was well on track to become a great varsity starter.

His JV highlights show flashes. Many quick, accurate passes over the middle of the field, perfectly catching his receiver in stride. Plus, Jake displays a good number of improvised throws outside of the pocket. In order to be efficient on Varsity, Jake needs to have more consistent mechanics, especially when throwing off-schedule.

This is an incredibly important offseason for Odin. I've always really liked his upside. He's a tall, well-built QB who improved on several key areas last offseason. This season, he looked incredibly confident, steady, and played far better than he did during his freshman season.

Still, Odin has room to grow when it comes to throwing the football. With his feet set and with time, Odin has shown an ability to throw accurate, high-velocity balls, especially to the short areas of the field. I still think Odin has growth regarding his throwing motion and overall accuracy, especially deep downfield. Still extremely high upside, and I hope Odin takes another big step to reaching his ceiling.

Dom is a super interesting quarterback prospect. The Achilles heel so far has been his size. Really, up until this year, Dom was extremely undersized, and it impacted his play. Now, Dom has grown quite a bit (up to 5'11"), and he could still grow an inch or two.

He's always been a very talented QB. Since middle school, Dom has been able to throw pinpoint passes with surprising velocity. From a young age, he got good at using his entire body to throw the football, and he was consistent with his throwing motion. In limited Varsity time this season, Dom threw the ball very well. 21/24 on his passes, alongside 6TDs. If he keeps seeing the field well and keeps improving on his accuracy, he could be a high-riser in a year's time.
