Offensive Performances That Changed Games

Week 5 set the stage for some senior QBs to put up massive numbers. We highlight a couple 320+ yards performances through the air today along with a look at the state's top receiving yards and receptions leader. The ground game didn't disappoint either as junior and senior RBs made the article with their work on the ground. We also sprinkle in an elite athlete who is shining as a dual threat QB and DB. Of course the monsters in the trenches need love too, and we have a senior/junior duo that recruiting departments need to be aware of. Let's dive into this group of 10+ athletes to know following Week 5!    Stats: 326 Passing Yards, 5 TDs   What a game from the senior signal caller out of Platteville. Tristan was slinging it all over the yard with. no hesitation. He aggressively pushed the ball downfield with accuracy that hit his man perfectly in stride on multiple TD passes. Throughout his highlights the senior did a great job with his feet, quickly setting or resetting and getting the ball out quickly. TJ also made multiple impressive throws on the run. The senior did a great job of showing off his full skill set in a big Week 5 win. He brings serious twitch and lateral agility to the WR position. Whether getting off the line or hitting route breaks, Anders is a nightmare to play tight man coverage on because he can cut on a dime and accelerate with a powerful burst. On the receiving end, Stakston showed that he could high point the ball and use his body to protect the ball while making the catch. Stakston is a mismatch that needs more eyes on him.      Stats: 7/10, 110 Yards, 1 TD, 10 Carries, 120 Yards, 2 TDs   The Iola- Scandinavia QB/DB is a walking highlight reel, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The junior averaged an insane 12 yards per carry in Week 5, showing that elite playmaker ability where he makes the unbelievable play look easy. His far superior speed and agility make him a nightmare to contain once he gets into any bit of space. His instincts with the ball and vision make him even more dangerous as he finds blocks and picks through the traffic until he can hit that second gear in the open field. The natural athlete is also able to deliver through the air. Check out the weekly highlights from the stud junior.      Stats: 4 receptions, 76 Yards, 1 TD   Oak Creek has produced several next level WR prospects over recent years. The next one up to keep an eye on appears to be junior Max Hoagland. The junior has a long frame at 6'2", but the first impression is that this kid can get down the field in a hurry. His first highlight of the week shows the speed advantage as he catches his CB peeking in the backfield and makes him pay. Max also showed the ability to make catches in traffic on a couple occasions this week. Despite the longer frame, Max also does a good job being sudden with his route breaks. Get this kid on your radars early.      Stats: 21 Carries, 153 Yards, 3 TDs   Alex stepped up big and helped continue Oconomowoc's dominant first half of the season with a win over Brookfield Central. The junior RB thrived behind his talented OL, patiently waiting for holes to open and showing off his ability to accelerate through small lanes as they opened up. Alex is a very slippery runner with the ball in his hands, whether it is getting through tiny running gaps or breaking through arm tackles. So many of his 20+ carries also show him impressive lateral agility as he made several lateral jump cuts to get into daylight. His vision and feel for where to attack stands out carry after carry. The junior is developing a well rounded skill set on the ground. He is definitely a name to keep an eye on over this next year.      Stats: 21/35, 434 Passing Yards, 5 TDs   The senior QB out of Madison Memorial was on fire in Week 5, finishing with an elite stat line and the victory. Owen stood tall in the pocket and was dealing dimes all over the field. He attacked all three levels with pinpoint ball placement where his man could go get it, and also showed off the velocity he could put on it to fit into those tight windows. There are a couple throws up the seam where Owen showed excellent touch to drop it right onto his man safely. What a showing from the senior QB this past week, and the season overall.        Stats: 8 Receptions, 161 yards   Junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1220683' first='Shaundel' last='Williams'] is off to a dominant start in 2024. Through 5 weeks he leads the state in receptions and receiving yards. The Week 5 highlights give a great glimpse into the all around skill set. You see the burst off the line and long speed to stack his CB and get downfield. He does a great job of tracking the ball and adjusting to it. The concentration and strong hands are there to make impressive grabs through contact. His awareness and body control along the sideline is very impressive as he makes toe tapping catches. The junior WR has the talent to attack all levels of the field, inside and out. This is an athlete whose stock is definitely climbing. Check him out!        Stats: 8 Receptions, 134 Yards, 2 TDs   Carter shined in Week 5 doing what he does best. Using his size to create problems for the DBs across from him. This week he used it to find success in the redzone, boxing out DBs and making catches for scores. The senior also thrived in the short passing game where he again used that frame to create separation. Carter ran very hard after the catch this week too and was able to put together multiple highlights of him earning the tough yards. Check out the senior steal.        Stats: 16 Carries, 156 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 reception, 19 Yards   It seems like the senior out of Sturgeon Bay plays every position on the field over the past couple years. In Week 5 the 2025 dominated at the RB position. The natural instincts for the position are impressive. You see him use blocks and also set up defenders. He will press one hole until the defender commits, then cut to an open lane last second. Patrick has solid vision, finding the soft spots to attack. He also has the short area quickness and long speed to make plays in traffic or out in the open field. Patrick also does a great job of always gaining yards. Even when working to get outside he is still getting up field. Don't sleep on the versatile athlete out of Sturgeon Bay.      Week 5 is some awesome tape from one of the top uncommitted senior offensive linemen in WI. Will held it down at the center position while showing off a strong array of traits. Will has the strength to reset the line of scrimmage by driving DTs off the line of scrimmage and far beyond that sometimes. Will also brings range to the IOL and can comfortably attack LBs, quickly closing on them and getting himself in proper position to wall them off form the running lane. The senior OC also shined against a NT, getting off accurate snaps and instantly engaging with power that won the battle in the trenches. Will is a versatile OL who I believe can play guard or center at the next level. Check out what he did in Week 5.      Playing at a smaller school, the 6'3" 295 lbs junior guard is usually a man among boys and Week 5 was no different. The massive guard was overpowering defensive linemen on a snap to snap basis. Breckin is able to move quickly at his size as he instantly gets hands on his opponent and overpowers them with his impressive leg drive. The massive lineman also does a great job of keeping his pad level low so he can use leverage to create even more power. Making him even more impressive, Breckin also was able to flash some range as he got up to LBs in a hurry. Breckin is an imposing interior OL to know.
