Stats: 206 All Purpose Yards, 4 Receptions, 6 Rushes, 1 Return
Anders is a serious mismatch tearing up the Coulee Conference this season. He brings serious twitch and lateral agility to the WR position. Whether getting off the line or hitting route breaks, Anders is a nightmare to play tight man coverage on because he can cut on a dime and accelerate with a powerful burst. On the receiving end, Stakston showed that he could high point the ball and use his body to protect the ball while making the catch. Stakston is a mismatch that needs more eyes on him.

Anders is one of the most productive athletes returning to HS fields in WI. He piled up over 1,200 all purpose yards in 2023 as a receiver and returner. Anders dominates with speed, vision, and overall instincts with the ball in his hands. Those traits allow him to play much faster than his opponents. Anders has gotten out and proven that athleticism this summer with times of 4.69 in the 40, 9’5″ in the broad, 35.3″. in the vertical and a 4.32 pro agility. The standout WR holds an offer form River Falls and their high-powered offense. More need to get eyes on the athletic and productive weapon. He is sure to have another great season this fall.

Coming into the season, Anders was on my radar as a potential breakout player. I wasn’t ready for what the junior did, though. Anders helped lead Westby into the playoffs while putting up 10 TDs receiving, a passing TD, a pick six, and two kickoff return TDs. The junior was a walking TD. So you can bet I will be watching him closely at the Showcase on Sunday. He has strong athletic tools that should dominate the testing portion of the day, and the one on ones should show the mismatch he is. Keep an eye on this kid over the next year.

Stats: 280 Yards, 5 TDsrnI don’t have a way to share the film on here, but what a night for the Westby junior! He scored 2 receiving TDs, 1 pick six, and returned 2 kickoffs for TDs. The 5’8″ 150 lbs athlete looks like a very explosive athlete on the field. His speed jumped off the video. Any time he got a glimpse of daylight with the ball in his hands he was able to burst to top speed and there was no catching him after that. Stakston has just as much quick twitch to his game as he does long speed. He was able to shake DBs with his change of direction while running routes. Anders was a walking highlight reel in Week One. He is proving to be one of the most explosive hidden gems in the state.
