We have a loaded stable of talent coming to Oak Creek to show off their talents to college coaches and Prep Redzone scouts on Sunday. You can bet that fellow PRZ Scout Nate Wahl and I will be doing our best to provide a ton of live coverage on Twitter as well as in depth articles after the event. As we head into the event, I want to preview a few athletes who stood out on to me on the list of attendees, and what I am excited to see from them.
I’m very excited to watch Jackson in person among the other QBs in a deep, talented group. I have been keeping a close eye on Menzel and Lake Country Lutheran while they made a strong playoff push. Seeing him on the list of attendees got me pumped. The junior is going to be a QB to know in the Class of 2025. The tape shows an athletic QB who can make all the throws from the pocket and can get the ball out of his hand at awkward angles or on the run. You can get a much better feel for arm strength in person, so I’ll be watching for that, along with technique, and seeing how he tests.

A senior to watch do his thing this Sunday is RB Vashawn Miner Vashawn Miner 5’9″ | 185 lbs | RB Indian Trail And Academy | 2024 State WI from Indian Trail HS. The senior is coming off a season where he helped his team make a playoff appearance, and his talent has started to bring in some offers. Miner is willing to do it all based on the tape. You see him blocking in the run game and in the pass game. He is an option as a receiver out of the backfield, and his agility in tight spaces help him create his big plays. The PRZ WI Showcase stage is perfect to show off a lot of those same traits. I’m excited to see what he does.

Coming into the season, Anders was on my radar as a potential breakout player. I wasn’t ready for what the junior did, though. Anders helped lead Westby into the playoffs while putting up 10 TDs receiving, a passing TD, a pick six, and two kickoff return TDs. The junior was a walking TD. So you can bet I will be watching him closely at the Showcase on Sunday. He has strong athletic tools that should dominate the testing portion of the day, and the one on ones should show the mismatch he is. Keep an eye on this kid over the next year.

Usually athletes who were not on my radar don’t end up in this type of article. It is usually an athlete who I have been wanting to see live, but haven’t had the chance yet. Cade broke the norm and grabbed my attention by being a 6’4″ 250 lbs freshman OL. The size was enough to send me to the film to see how he is looking very early in his development. Intrigued would be an understatement. The freshman carries the weight very well, and still has so much room to grow over the years. His body control, balance, and range at his size and age are special. He moves easily, can get to the second level, and hits his targets. The big man also has a great base of strength to dominate in the run game and drive DL off the ball. I’m excited to watch Cade do his thing and watch him develop over the coming years!
An athlete who put himself on my radar this season was Monona Grove’s DE/Edge defender Will Knoeck Will Knoeck 6’3″ | 200 lbs | DL Monona Grove | 2025 State WI . He got after the QB all night during my live viewing of the Stoughton- Monona Grove battle. That was just the start of a great season for the junior. Will ended up with 8 sacks and plenty of other pressures and disruptive plays. I’ll be interested in seeing how he tests in the explosive testing like broad jump and L Drill. On tape, Knoeck shows the bend needed to get around the edge and dip under OTs. I’ll be watching him in one on ones for sure.
If I could I would have every coach in attendance just follow Chase around. He is one of the biggest steals in the state. The senior has been an impact, game changing force since he was a freshman. The two way standout is signed up as an LB, and is going to show that he has college level talent and athleticism on Sunday. Chase is a sideline to sideline run stuffer. He is strong, has good burst, and we won’t get to see it but he is a great tackler. Coaches, make sure you watch this senior. He is a need to know athlete.
DB is usually the hardest position to fill up at these Showcases because everyone wants to play receiver. That isn’t the case on Sunday. The DB group is made up of several athletes that I believe will play at a high level in college. So it was hard to pick just one to highlight here. In the end I chose the athlete who has had me excited for his potential and future development since I first watched his tape early in the season. That is sophomore Oliver Wenning Oliver Wenning 5’10” | 185 lbs | DB Middleton | 2026 State WI who quickly carved out a starting role on a talented Middleton roster. Wenning is all over the field, has quickly developing instincts, and the athleticism to be able to cover large zones or man to man. I’m excited to see him in those man to man scenarios when we get to one on one battles this Sunday. Big things ahead for the sophomore.
