College coaches and their recruiting departments do their absolute best to get eyes on as many athletes as they can throughout the year. We here at Prep Redzone also do our best to ensure that nobody is overlooked by the next level if we can help it. However, there are always a few athletes every year who finally see the heavy recruitment and offers during their senior season once they put out a few weeks of consistently strong tape. That will be the case this fall again, but to help get the ball rolling for these athletes I want to take a look at what we can expect from them based on current tape and their summer camp performances. College coaches, make sure you have these under the radar prospects on your boards heading into the 2024 season.

An athlete that I believe is going to prove to be an absolute steal this fall is Hudson's WR/S/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='685843' first='Tyler' last='Lessard']. Tyler has great size at 6'4" 205 lbs and he has run in the 4.7s at camps this summer. Size and athleticism for that size are not a question. Tyler plays the ball in the air very well and has soft hands to make some impressive grabs. After the catch, Lessard has some wiggle to his game and is able to physically dominate DBs with his power and contact balance. The standout 2025 is also productive. He scored 10 TDs in 2023, put up over 600 yards, and had two INTs on defense. It is a big surprise that Tyler doesn't have any listed offers. He has a future as a big, possession WR or even as a TE. Coaches need to tune into his senior season and watch him dominate DBs.

Pierce has had eyes on him from the FCS level since this spring, but we haven't seen any offers come in for him. It could be because teams want to see more from the 6'7" 285 lbs OT who only has one year of OL play under his belt. Pierce is definitely a raw prospect, but he is an athlete who has been putting in the work. He will come into 2024 15 lbs heavier than he was last year. That will help him play even more overpowering in the run game. That will be impressive to watch because in 2023 the big man was already showing heavy hands and the leg drive to bulldoze DL off the ball in the run game. Weber also looked solid in pass protection mirroring pass rushers and using his elite length to make first contact and control DEs. If he can put together a few good weeks of tape to start the season I think we could see teams at the D2 level or higher start to pull the trigger and offer him. Don't let this kid sneak up on you this fall.

One of the top LBs in the state is still looking for his first offer. Jackson is a 6'3" 200 lbs prospect with a frame that will be able to hold another 30+ lbs when he gets into a college program. As a junior, Jackson was already playing like a next level LB. He was someone with quick reaction to play development. His speed gave him sideline to sideline range and the ability to fly downhill to make tackle behind the line. Jackson also has many examples of his eyes finding the ball despite fakes and misdirections in the backfield. He is a weapon that can be used to win against the run and be an effective blitzed. The tape should only get more impressive this fall. Get ready for him to lead a stout defense on Friday nights.

I believe Martell is another athlete in this article that college coaches may be waiting to see the senior film start to come out from before they offer. His massive 6'3" 330 lbs frame should have grabbed plenty of attention, now he just has to keep proving he can win in the trenches consistently. As a junior he showed the high upside flashes. He is a space eater that can collect blockers to ensure that his LBs are running free behind him. The big man has also proven he is able to hold the line of scrimmage against double teams. Also, when teams have attempted to block him one on one Martell has shown the upper body strength to create space and disengage from blocks then make the tackle. If he can prove to be even more of a mismatch this fall, teams will be very interested in his talents.

Dequavion started his high school career as an impressive WR, debuting as WR1 in the original rankings a few years ago. Since then the big athlete has grown an impressive frame that now has him at TE, but still providing his QB with a reliable mismatch. In 2023 the big man turned 5 of his 18 catches into scores. Pinter made a lot of plays as an H Back or lined up in the slot. He attacked the seam from either alignment, going up over LBs and holding onto the pass through hits from safeties. Even at his size, Pinter has maintained a quick release and the acceleration to get on top of his DB/LB as he races up the seam. Pinter also is able to line up out wide and make plays too. After the catch the massive target runs angry and makes the defense earn their tackles. Westosha Central will be looking for a top target to go to this fall. Pinter could be in line for a big year. Keep an eye on him this fall.

RB1 has garnered a lot of attention since 2023 ended, but it looks like he is still waiting for that first offer. The 6' 210 lbs 2025 will be a steal for a college program. He has the size, and runs with an angry streak to match the size. Josiah will lower his pads and leave a trail of attempted tackles. He has a low center of gravity that allows him to take hits and keep moving forward. The difference maker for him is that he isn't just a one trick pony. Josiah crushed the summer camp circuit, running multiple 40s in the 4.45-4.50 range. He has the break away speed, physicality, size, and also production with his 800+ rushing yards in 2023. Watch him dominate early in the season. I think we will see things start to change when that happens.

Edgar was a run heavy offense in 2023 on their way to a D7 State Championship. However, their school record setting RB has graduated and the team will be looking for new leaders in the backfield. Where they won't need new leadership and talent is out wide with [player_tooltip player_id='685898' first='Leyton' last='Schuett']. The 6'3" WR has speed to burn out wide and is a playmaker whenever he gets the ball. In 2023 he put up over 750 receiving yards on just 33 catches. That 23 yards/catch rate is a great example of how elusive and fast he is before and after the catch. Leyton is able to go up and get the ball. He created space with speed, route running, and his length. He has examples creating big plays in so many different ways. He is a hidden gem in northern WI that more teams need to know about. Don't miss out on this kid.

I think it is a matter of time before we see things start to roll for Bradley. I have been very excited for his senior season as he will be back on varsity after moving before the 2023 season. The senior RB is an electric runner and receiving threat out of the backfield and once he proves it vs good varsity competition he will start turning heads. Everything you look for in a back that will be a change of pace or third down option Bradley has. He has the long speed to create the big plays. He has the vision and agility in tight quarters to make defenders miss in a phone booth. The incoming senior has a nose for the endzone too. When he gets the ball in his hands he has great instincts to get him to where he wants to be. Get eyes on him early in the season and see if the potential steal is a good fit for your team.

Riley is another OL that seems to be flying under the radar. He has a massive 6'3" 290 lbs frame, yet has the conditioning to be a two way standout in the trenches for Stanley- Boyd. Furthering how impressive that is, Riley plays on the interior of both lines where it is most physically exhausting, and he is a difference maker at both spots. The big lineman has impressive power. We see him be a devastating trap blocker and he has the bull rush power to collapse the pocket from the interior on defense. Riley has effective range to pull across the formation and clear out the trap man and that power shows up when he fires out of his stance straight ahead too. Riley is a big, strong IOL/IDL prospect with effective athleticism in short areas. Teams at the D3/D2 levels should tune into his tape this fall.
