. The #1 RB in the senior Class. Josiah wrapped up his very impressive HS career with his best, most productive season yet. When you scout the senior RB you check off a lot of boxes. A 6′ 210 lbs frame that is well filled out with muscle. Muscle that translates to both speed and power plus it gives him explosive agility and acceleration when he carries the ball between the tackles. Josiah also checks the box of being a natural playmaker. His highlight reel is filled with him making the special play look easy. Like beating pursuit down the sideline, breaking tackles and then pulling away in the open field, or making defenders miss in tight quarters and creating yards out of nothing. Josiah is built like a future RB1 for a college roster, produces like it, and plays like it on tape. Very excited to see where the senior eventually commits.

Josiah is an RB with a wide variety of talents. He could have been slotted into a few of our spots in this article, and in the end I had to go with the power build. I love how Josiah runs the football. Every carry the senior runs angry and violent. He trusts his speed to break off the big play, but the second he needs to create yards or move the pile or go through a defender you see him flip the switch, drop his pads, and run his strong legs through the contact. He meets tacklers with violence and does his best to take the hit to them. We need our Perfect RB to run angry like Josiah does.

Josiah was one half of one of Wisconsin’s most dynamic offenses. The workhorse back was essentially the entire run game for his team and was responsible for roughly half of their total yards and TDs on the season while making a strong playoff run. Josiah’s dominant numbers were enough to finish 3rd in the state in yards and 6th in Rushing TDs. He was also 5th in yards per game on the ground. Josiah’s explosive running kept the high-flying offense perfectly balanced from the first week of the season. MAS would have had a much different season without him toting the rock.

out of the backfield. The senior RB is the state’s leading rusher at this point in the season. Josiah has a very well rounded game. His vision allows him to quickly find blocks and running lanes and his speed to break off the long TD can change the game in a single play. Johnson also can do the dirty work. His 6′ 2120 lbs frame can grind out the tough yards or break through tackles in the open field and then accelerate away from the field for more big plays. Josiah is a workhorse back that can run with power and also create the big play with athleticism. His senior season is off to a hot start.

RB1 has garnered a lot of attention since 2023 ended, but it looks like he is still waiting for that first offer. The 6′ 210 lbs 2025 will be a steal for a college program. He has the size, and runs with an angry streak to match the size. Josiah will lower his pads and leave a trail of attempted tackles. He has a low center of gravity that allows him to take hits and keep moving forward. The difference maker for him is that he isn’t just a one trick pony. Josiah crushed the summer camp circuit, running multiple 40s in the 4.45-4.50 range. He has the break away speed, physicality, size, and also production with his 800+ rushing yards in 2023. Watch him dominate early in the season. I think we will see things start to change when that happens.

The 6′ 210 lbs junior out of Milwaukee Academy of Science has been holding the #1 spot for a the last two rankings updates. What stands out most in in his recent film is his instincts with the ball in his hands. Every play he shows the ability to run to daylight and gain positive yards. He plays with no hesitation, quickly finds the lanes to attack, and is able to create something out of nothing. Josiah also stands out with his ruggedness. He is a tough runner who has no hesitation when he needs to get behind his pads and gain yards the hard way. Even out in space the junior shows off the toughness with a wicked stiff arm. Josiah’s power doesn’t just flash in those hard nosed situations. That power also flashes in his cuts, allowing him to instantly start/stop or juke away from defenders.

Stock Movement: Up 54 SpotsrnOne of the biggest risers is our new RB1 in the Class of 2025. The more I watch Josiah the more I become a fan of him. His tape shows a well rounded talent who is building up the traits to be a reliable three down back at this level and the next. He has built a sturdy, powerful 6′ 190 lbs frame. His thick frame allows him to handle the physical aspects of the game. He can play between the tackles, and lower his shoulder while running his feet to break through tackles. Johnson also has the long speed to turn the corner and win a lot of foot races down the sideline. The big man also has shown lateral explosiveness in tight quarters to create space or make defenders miss. Finally, Josiah can be a receiver out of the backfield. He has soft hands and the vision to create big plays after the catch. Keep an eye on his this fall. The climb might not be done for him.

One of the first student athletes who caught my eyes during positional work was the MAS ’25 RB. Josiah has built up an impressive frame. He is 6′ 210 lbs, a good bit larger than he was in 2022. That growth hasn’t slowed him down either. The big back jumped 9’6″ in the broad, and 34.5″ in the vertical. He also ran a solid 4.69 in the 40 yard dash. Josiah is a natural at the RB position and has proven to be a complete back who can impact the game on the ground or as a receiver. With the ball in his hands, Josiah wins with his vision to find lanes or blocks, strength to be able to run through contact, and speed to turn green grass into points. Josiah put up almost 800 yards last season, but we may see a full breakout this fall. He is definitely a name to know.
