Our spring camp tour continued last week at Hilldale. In this report, we’re taking a look some of the players that stood out to us during the last hour plus of the day on Tuesday. For some of these guys, we’ve known about them for a while but for others, it was our first chance to see them in person and they definitely caught our attention. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more team camp reports coming up later this week! Here were the ten players from the Hilldale camp that stood out in one way or another.

was one of the top playmakers that we watched on Tuesday and it makes sense when you look at the production that he had last year as a sophomore. Scott was terrific as a downfield threat and when he got the ball in the open field, there weren’t many opponents that could keep him contained. The speed and overall quickness was a big problem for opposing teams and that’s what we saw from him last season. Scott is the first of several standouts from Hilldale as the Hornets looked really good on both sides of the ball. We might be a little late to the party when it comes to Scott but after watching him up close last week, we’re all in on him.

was one of the new names that we discovered when watching the teams work on Tuesday. This is why we love the camp tour. Not only do we get our eyes on some of the best and established players in the state but we also find guys that might have been flying under the radar and Repschlaeger could fit in that category. But whether he was on offense or defense, he was providing a tremendous impact. And the first thing that stands out is the fact that he immediately passes the eye test. We also found out last week that he’s a terrific all around athlete as he had a very successful track season. This Catoosa standout is definitely a hidden gem that more eyes need to see.

was going to be the main attraction on Tuesday and he showed why every time he got the ball in his hands. He’s just a different level of athlete and there’s a reason why he’s headed to Oklahoma and why he absolutely dominated last season. Thomas had a really good offseason and just keeps on improving every time we see him in person. On Tuesday, Thomas was a match-up nightmare and he was doing a variety of things to beat defenses. But what was most impressive was watching him after the catch. He used agility, power and speed or a combination of all three things to avoid defenders and turn a small play into a scoring play.
Jayden Ellen Jayden Ellen 5'10" | RB Checotah | 2026 State OK – 2026 Running Back – Checotah
Coming into the week, we knew about Thomas with Checotah but 2026 running back Jayden Ellen Jayden Ellen 5'10" | RB Checotah | 2026 State OK was a pleasant surprise within the offense. Ellen is a physical running back that does a lot of really good things within the offense. Even when he didn’t have the ball in his hands, he impacted the game with his pass blocking and doing a good job of keeping pressure off the quarterback. We were curious how this Checotah offense was going to look and whether or not it would be Thomas having to be carry the load and while he does have the ability, it doesn’t look like it’ll be necessary. Having Ellen back on the field after sitting out last season will be a big boost to the Checotah offense.
Kaiden Ford

– 2027 Defensive Lineman – Hilldale
We’ll lead with the headline first. Hilldale’s defense was absolutely dominant almost every time they were on the field. We were so impressed with that unit at all three levels but it started up front on the line of scrimmage. And leading the way will be 2027 defensive lineman

on the defensive front. Ford first stood out to us back in January when he dominated our PRZ-Oklahoma camp. And on Tuesday, he was an absolute monster on the line of scrimmage and there wasn’t much opposing offensive linemen could do except receive help and double team him. Simply put, he doesn’t play like a DL that just finished his freshman year. He has a variety of moves and impacts the game in a massive way.
Michael Blendowski Michael Blendowski 5'10" | RB Catoosa | 2025 OK – 2025 Running Back – Catoosa
Another standout from Catoosa was 2025 running back Michael Blendowski Michael Blendowski 5'10" | RB Catoosa | 2025 OK but it was for different reasons than some of the other running backs in attendance. Blendowski was just an absolute fighter throughout the camp on Tuesday. He wasn’t the biggest back and he didn’t have the top end speed that some of the other athletes had but he made the most of every single rep and he was not an easy guy to bring down. And honestly, when he got out in space, he did a good job of getting north and south and had a few moves that allowed him to elude defenders. Catoosa had a really strong running game last season and it looks like they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon this fall.

– 2027 Athlete – Bristow
Bristow was one of the teams last week that we were fired up to see with them going into a new era of football moving forward. And the future is incredibly bright from what we could tell because arguably their top playmaker on both sides of the ball just finished up his freshman season. 2027 athlete

is going to be a name to know moving forward and we were very impressed with not only the ability that he showed but the workload that he had. He was lining up in several different spots on offense and then turned around and also played defense. Johnson was another new name for us to put on the radar and we’re fired up to see what he and the Pirates look like this fall.
Talon Shaffer

– 2027 Quarterback – Hilldale
Hilldale really impressed us on the defensive side of the ball but they were also clicking on offense. And leading the way was 2027 quarterback

and after watching him several times this offseason on the 7v7 circuit, it’s clear that he’s going to improve tremendously from his freshman season to his sophomore year this fall. First off, Shaffer didn’t make very many mistakes when we were watching and even talking with some of the coaches, they were talking about the passing game and how polished it looked considering that it was still May. If Saffer continues to progress at the rate we’ve seen over the last 12 months, it’ll be scary what he looks like in a few years when he’s a senior.

was another prospect that we knew about coming into the team camp session on Tuesday. And after watching Muldrow for less than a minute, it was easy to figure out which one he was. Every time he steps on the field, he’s going to look like the most physically gifted prospect more times than not. That was the way it was last week and we got a chance to see him put in work on both sides of the ball. On defense, Collins was at safety and showed good instincts but he also brought a physical style. And on offense, Collins did a variety of things for the Bulldogs as it’s clear that he’s going to play several different roles for Muldrow this fall.

was a guy that we were fired up to see in person just so we could see how much he’s improved from the last time we watched him. And it didn’t take very many reps from him to come away impressed. The thing that stood out while watching Hix was his decision making. Even before the snap, he did a great job of identifying the defense and what they were doing, where they would be and that allowed him to make ultra quick decisions after the snap on where he was going with the ball. We’ve thought Hix was one of the best quarterbacks in his class since he was a freshman and nothing has changed.
