Union defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='846614' first='Josiah' last='Hammond'] has had a very busy offseason. He's seen his recruitment really blow up over the last 12 months and he would eventually give his commitment to Kansas in the last month. Hammond also moved from [player_tooltip player_id='1161912' first='Will' last='Rogers'] to Union and should give the Redhawks an immediate boost on the defensive line. Hammond has a lot of the physical tools to be a terrific pass rusher and defensive end at the next level. But you can also see that he's still learning how to execute his craft to perfection and he's definitely on his way there. He's certainly a prospect that we can't wait to see how he develops and how his game looks in another year or two.

You can make the argument that Norman North defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='268325' first='Garrison' last='Utley'] was the most productive defensive lineman in the state's 2025 class last season. Utley was an absolute terror up front for the Norman North defense and he would end up earning All State 1st Team honors with that production, going against the top level of competition in Class 6A-1. When we look at Utley as a prospect, we know he's a guy that can play at the next level. But the only question is where? A lot of it will obviously depend on the scheme but is he more inside or outside along the defensive front. Wherever he ends up, he has a unique blend of size and speed to get the job done.

Owasso defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='660345' first='Reece' last='Satterwhite'] is on a defensive line unit that might be one of the best in Oklahoma this season. They have an elite 2026 prospect and with Satterwhite causing a lot of problems coming off the edge, the Rams will be tough to stop. Satterwhite came to both of our camps this offseason and he dominated both of them. He came away with MVP at one camp and could have done it again at the second. He has speed, strength and the thing that stands out to us is he always keeps his opponent guessing. During one on one drills, Satterwhite did an excellent job of mixing up his pass-rush moves and most of the time, he had his opponent on skates.

Bishop McGuinness big man [player_tooltip player_id='479388' first='Zach' last='Tawwater'] is an intriguing prospect because there's a lot of versatility to his game. We have Tawwater currently listed as a defensive lineman but he's also spent time as a tight end and offensive lineman. But for now, we'll keep Tawwater on defense because he's an absolute terror coming off the ball on defense. Tawwater has length that allows him to beat opposing offenses in a variety of ways. And he's a good athlete when you add in the versatility element and he's also stood out on the basketball floor. So whichever side of the line of scrimmage ends up on, Tawwater should be a prospect to watch in the state's 2025 class.

Way out in eastern Oklahoma, you have an absolute monster flying under the radar in the state's 2025 class. Colcord's [player_tooltip player_id='474063' first='Khaleeal' last='Penn'] is a dominant force on both sides of the line of scrimmage but we can't help but like what he brings to the interior of a defensive line. Penn uses a blend of power and a deep bag of moves to get by opposing offensive linemen. And while small school opponents typically don't have anyone that can handle Penn's size, he's also shown that same dominance at our camps in the past two offseasons. It doesn't matter what level of play Penn is at, he shows a high skillset and when the job is to blow up the line of scrimmage, he does just that.
