is an intriguing prospect because there’s a lot of versatility to his game. We have Tawwater currently listed as a defensive lineman but he’s also spent time as a tight end and offensive lineman. But for now, we’ll keep Tawwater on defense because he’s an absolute terror coming off the ball on defense. Tawwater has length that allows him to beat opposing offenses in a variety of ways. And he’s a good athlete when you add in the versatility element and he’s also stood out on the basketball floor. So whichever side of the line of scrimmage ends up on, Tawwater should be a prospect to watch in the state’s 2025 class.

is a 2025 prospect that we’ll have a close eye on as we move closer to spring ball and the summer months. Tawwater has the potential to be one of the better prospects at his position but in the last two seasons, it’s been hard to pin point what that position is. We’ve seen Tawwater make plays on both sides of the ball and he’s been valuable to the Irish on both sides. He’s an athletic big man that also has excelled on the basketball floor. It’s clear that he’s very athletic and can move around and do a variety of things. But we think that his natural position is on the defensive line as an edge rusher.

has the most versatility in his game. In addition to being a defensive end, he also lines up on offense as a tight end and has had a stellar season on that side of the ball. It depends on which game you watch film on, some games, Tawwater is an absolute star on offense and then other games you can see him terrorizing opposing offenses. For now, we have Tawwater listed as a defensive lineman but there are definitely plenty of arguments for him being an offensive prospect based on some of his performances this season. But for now, we’ll keep Tawwater on the defensive side of the ball because the ceiling appears to be higher there but that could change soon.

as a tight end and overall athlete for the Irish. We know Tawwater more as a tight end and defensive lineman but watching the Irish this spring, the McGuinness coaches appeared to get creative with how they use Tawwater, specifically on the offensive side of the ball. He lined up at tight end, he even lined up in the backfield at running back. Tawwater is going to be an overall game changer for the Irish this fall and he certainly has the potential to be the top offensive weapon. And that’s only considering his abilities on offense. He will also stand out for the Irish on defense at defensive end. He wrecked shop coming off the edge for the Irish last season.

earns his spot on the defensive line but he also turns around and plays a little tight end and an overall jumbo athlete for the McGuinness offense. We got a chance to see Tawwater and McGuinness in person last season at least once and it was hard to not come away with his abilities along the defensive line. Tawwater is a very disruptive player up front and the ceiling for him is extremely high. But just like with a few other prospects, it’s still somewhat early to put down his future position in college with ink. There’s still a lot of football to be played before that decision is made.

listed as a defensive lineman on the latest ranking update but we could be talked into a little tight end or even offensive lineman down the road. Tawwater is a 2025 prospect that we like a lot because of the potential and versatility he brings to the field. Tawwater was a disruptive defensive lineman during his sophomore season with McGuinness but he also turned around and showed that he could play a little offense. If Tawwater continues to grow and get bigger, we could see him potentially turning into a very successful offensive tackle as well. There’s a lot of potential there and at the end of the day, that’s what these rankings are all about. We’re trying to project how they will look at the next level and Tawwater’s ceiling is incredibly high.

. He doubles as a defensive end and a tight end on the offensive side of the ball. And he is enjoying a breakout season this year. Tawwater has quickly jumped on our radar and is now considered one of the better two-way prospects in the state’s 2025 class. The thing that just jumps off the page about Tawwater is his size and athleticism at his age. Tawwater could have a big impact on Saturday evening as McAlester looks to be balanced on offense. If Tawwater can get into the backfield and cause problems, the Irish should be successful.

. When it comes to all of the newcomers in the recent ranking update, Tawwater is the highest ranked newcomer as he comes in at #16 overall and the top defensive lineman prospect. Like James, we definitely benefitted from seeing Tawwater in person just last week. And like James, he passed the eye test immediately and made several plays in their showdown with Carl Albert. But in addition to his on-field production, Tawwater has the confidence of his coaches and we’ve even heard from opposing coaches that Tawwater is going to be a prospect to watch moving forward. Tawwater already has the frame to be a disruptive lineman. As he gets bigger and stronger, that will only continue.
