The state’s 2027 linebacker class is incredibly deep and has the potential to be the deepest position group in this class. But there is no doubt that Bishop McGuinness linebacker Jackson Blackburn Jackson Blackburn 5'11" | LB Bishop McGuinness | 2027 OK belongs in the discussion as one of the better guys in this group. Blackburn has picked up a ton of D2, D3 and NAIA offers and he was very productive last season as a junior. He finished with nearly 100 tackles and through the first couple games of the season, he’s picked up right where he left off. The McGuinness senior is also spending some time on the offensive side of the ball but there is no doubt that he’s a linebacker that belongs among the 2027 ranks. We’ll get a chance to watch Blackburn in person this week as the Irish host Carl Albert in a rematch of last year’s 5A state championship game. It’s a big stage for Blackburn to shine bright and show again that he belongs.
