is back for his second season as QB1 of the Irish and the Missouri baseball commit is ready to take the next step this fall. Cochran had a solid season in 2023 but has grown as a quarterback over the last 12 months and we won’t be surprised to see him make a big leap from his junior to senior season. One thing to watch will be Cochran’s chemistry with his receivers as they lose quite a bit of production from that position. He will benefit from having two monster targets at the tight end position. And Cochran is a tremendous athlete so don’t overlook his ability to keep a play alive by moving around or tucking the ball and running.

appears to be that guy heading into this season. We got a chance to see Cochran in person back in the spring and he does a good job of getting the ball down field but also has plenty of athleticism so he can make things happen when the play breaks down. Cochran isn’t known as much on the football field as he is the baseball diamond. He’s already committed to play at the next level for baseball with Missouri. We’re about to see what he can do on the football field this fall. He’s going to have some talented players around him to help him make the transition to QB1 for the Irish.
