One of the biggest steals in the state is from powerhouse Catholic Memorial. [player_tooltip player_id='685892' first='Marvanous' last='Butler- Brown'] is an excellent athlete that will provide a college program with a mismatch out on the perimeter, and it could be on offense or defense. From the slot we see a lot of safety coverage on Marvanous. His acceleration erases the massive cushion he usually gets the long speed leaves them trying to keep up. Butler- Brown has solid vision with the ball in his hands as well and when he meets a DB one on one in the '25 has the advantage with his slippery agility. Marvanous' speed also allowed him to be a playmaking safety in 2023. He roamed the field, making plays on the ball and making tackles. Butler- Brown holds two offers currently.

One of the top WRs in Wisconsin is still looking for that first offer. Tay is 6'3" 195 lbs, has produced at a high level, and sports a 3.95 GPA. The attention is there, but once the 2025 hits the camps I think he quickly earns the elusive offers he is after. Despite the big frame, Tay finds a way to consistently get behind the defense. The 2025 does it with some pure speed and some route running prowess. To go along with the size and speed, Ferguson also sports excellent hands and a strong knack for tracking the ball in flight. Tay is able to high point the ball through traffic or while taking a hit. His body control that helps with route running also helps him make some acrobatic adjustments while going up for the ball. There is no doubt, Tay has the physical requirements to play at a higher level of college ball. I'm excited for his summer to unfold.

A steal among the LB talent in Wisconsin is looking like [player_tooltip player_id='942600' first='Mason' last='Richter'] of Stoughton. Mason has a great frame to build on and fill out at the next level. He offers inside/outside versatility. His tape shows him making an impact as a pass rusher off the edge where he can flash his lateral agility and hand use. The long LB can also be asked to drop into coverage thanks to his quick feet and ability to slide fluidly in space and change direction. Plus he does a good job of reading the eyes of the QB and feeling athletes in his zone. Plus the '25 also can handle the physical side of the position, triggering downhill and filling against the run. Mason is a three down LB with versatility that should excite coaches.

A lineman who deserves more shine is the South Milwaukee guard. Clay currently holds an offer from Winona State, and things should only pick up as the 6'2" 280 lbs guard gets himself in front of college coaches this summer. Clay is a powerful mauler in the run game. His varsity team has long been able to count on him to drive his man off the ball and into the laps of LBs. Clay is able to maximize his strength that he has built up I the weight room with very sound technique. His wide base is able to drive even the biggest DTs out of the trenches and his feet easily keep him square on his man so he doesn't overextend or lose leverage. Clay can take that power on the move too as he delivers pancake blocks while pulling. His anchor strength locks down a secure pocket for his QB in the pass gam as well. Clay has been an impressive OL prospect for a couple years. I'd pound the table for this kid. Check him out.

Braxton has been near the top of the DB rankings in this Class ever since he debuted as an underclassman. The 6'1" 185 lbs safety has so much tape of him roaming deep downfield and making big time plays on the ball. Braxton has developed impressive awareness and plays with confidence, trusting what he sees and attacking. The closing speed is next level too as he makes a lot of last second plays that he didn't look like he would be in time to make. Braxton is used as a single high safety at times because of those traits. The 2025 safety also has solid ball skills and is great with the ball in his hands after the INT. I believe the safety is looking for his first offer. Teams need to get eyes on him, today.

It looks like Grant is focusing more on getting out to basketball visits this offseason, but the unanimous All Conference QB should get some looks for his play at QB. Grant has an excellent frame at 6'4" 190 lbs. The pocket passer is poised within the pocket, standing tall and delivering strikes to all levels of the field. He has effective footwork within the pocket to buy time without bailing from the pocket. Even while buying time the 2025 QB keeps his eyes downfield and maintains his mechanics so he can stay accurate with his ball placement. I'm excited to cover his final season at Stevens Point this fall.

A DL who is on the rise, and coming off a recent offer from Duluth is Sun Prairie East's [player_tooltip player_id='942706' first='Brady' last='Schauer']. The 6'1" 280 lbs NT/DT is the mismatch that teams look for at the position. At his size Brady has an explosive get off at the snap. He does a great job of playing with leverage. You consistently see him get underneath the chin of the OL, get hands on and quickly disengage, then get after the ball. Brady has the balance needed to play in the trenches where you need to be able to stay square or recover from awkward angles that an OL may get you into. To go along with the athleticism is strength to take on double teams without giving up ground or literally toss OL in one on one blocks. Brady is an exciting mismatch in the trenches that is going to shine this camp season. Take a look at the film.
