A prospect that, for reasons unbeknownst to me, seems to be flying under the radar is Millville’s Darian Blachewicz Darian Blachewicz 6’2″ | 245 lbs | DL Millville | 2025 NJ . Blachewicz, a prospect I saw in person a few times last spring, is generating much interest from Division I programs of all calibers. Just shortly after announcing his top five schools (Pitt, Kent State, Syracuse, Monmouth, and New Hampshire), Bryant swooped in and complicated matters, adding another outstanding academic institution for Blachewicz to consider. Blachewicz’s recruitment should be an interesting one.
A rarity in today’s game, true tight end prospect Charlie Wingfield Charlie Wingfield 6’5″ | 185 lbs | TE Ramapo | 2025 State NJ recently took himself off the recruiting boards of several universities. Opting for a great blend of athletics and academics, Wingfield has announced his commitment to Wake Forest. Prior to his commitment, Wingfield was also considering Stanford and Syracuse.
The future looks bright for Marlen Bright Marlen Bright 6’6″ | 265 lbs | OL DePaul Catholic | 2026 State NJ . DePaul’s 2026 offensive lineman has had quite the active last 7 weeks or so in terms of his recruitment. Going back to march, Bright secured offers from Tennesee, Rutgers, Temple, Georgia Tech, and most recently Cincinnati. With a full two seasons yet to play, Bright will surely have his pick-of-the-litter in terms of Power 5 schools to choose from.

A prospect I am really excited to review once we re-rank the class of 2026, Jordan Thomas Jordan Thomas 6’6″ | 265 lbs | DL Don Bosco | 2024 State NJ has gotten some college love as of late too. Some big-time schools have made it out to North Jersey to line up as suitors for Thomas. Before the no-contact period, Thomas earned offers from West Virginia, Georgia Tech, James Madison, Wisconsin, Stanford, Central Michigan, Michigan, Penn State, and Florida. Most recently, along with Cincinnati, Thomas has also been extended offers from Ohio State and Notre Dame – two of the nation’s most prestigious academic and athletic institutions.

Thomas’ fellow Bergen Catholic teammate, a Florida import, Jermaine Kinsler Jermaine Kinsler 6’7″ | 260 lbs | ATH Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ , has had quite the uptick in his recruitment since the turn of the new year. Since repeating as Non-public Group A state champions, Kinsler has seen a flurry of offers come his way, including Central Michigan, Wisconsin, James Madison, Minnesota, South Carolina, and most recently Cincinnati. However, two offers that stand out head-and-shoulders above the rest come by way of Notre Dame and Florida State. Regardless, Kinsler will have no shortage of suitors come his senior year.

Another big-time prospect out of Don Bosco is the big tight end Matt Maietti Matt Maietti 6’5″ | 235 lbs | TE Don Bosco | 2025 State NJ . As Maietti enters his senior year, he has garnered some SEC interest. Back in early April Maietti announced via twitter that he received his first offer out of the Southeastern Conference compliments of Vanderbilt. A highly regarded academic college, it will be interesting to see how his Maietti’s recruitment plays out the rest of the way with a big offer at-hand.
