When you think of perennial Group IV contender Millville, you typically think “track meet.” Darian Blachewics is doing everything in his power to rebrand our thought process to a “track & field meet.” Playing nose, Blachewics is extremely disruptive due to his great get off. Typically something I only coach my defensive linemen to do on clear passing downs, Blachewics’ quickness allows him to club and swim the opposing center’s snap arm, allowing him an unabated path into the backfield forcing either immediate A gap pressure or the opposing back to cut east-west. His get off is matched with a great motor. Blachewics also is appears to use his hands well, getting them on his matchup on every snap, controlling them, driving, and then snatching them away. Technically sound, he also does a great job lowering his pad level – particularly as he routinely works to knife apart double teams. His block recognition and ability to fight the reach opens up Millville’s defensive line rotation, where at moments Blachewics also proved more than serviceable off of the edge. The agility also allows him to effectively run TE stunts as the looper. I want to see Blachewics continue to be violent, particularly by consistently ripping through when slanting. Blachewics has committed to Bryant University.

Not only does Millville have some of the top talent in the state on the offensive side of the ball, but defensively they are stacked as well. The success Millville has on defense is spearheaded by players like like Darian Blachewicz Darian Blachewicz 6'2" | 245 lbs | DL Millville | 2025 State NJ . Darian has college ready size already. He is a defensive lineman that has the size and power to overwhelm any blocker that lines up across from him, and drive them in the direction of the quarterback. Darian became very familiar with spending time in the backfield last season. While he accumulated 49 tackles on the season, he was also able to force his way to the quarterback 8 times for the sack.
Darian is not a hidden talent, but is very well known and recognized already across the east. He has received offers from schools such as Syracuse, Pitt, Temple and many more, but by season’s end, should bring in a few more from across the country. This is a name that deserves all of the recognition that is coming his way.

A prospect that, for reasons unbeknownst to me, seems to be flying under the radar is Millville’s Darian Blachewicz Darian Blachewicz 6'2" | 245 lbs | DL Millville | 2025 State NJ . Blachewicz, a prospect I saw in person a few times last spring, is generating much interest from Division I programs of all calibers. Just shortly after announcing his top five schools (Pitt, Kent State, Syracuse, Monmouth, and New Hampshire), Bryant swooped in and complicated matters, adding another outstanding academic institution for Blachewicz to consider. Blachewicz’s recruitment should be an interesting one.

With Millville having practically rented a winnebago (my attempt at humor) to send a full platoon to the PSR Showcase, Blachewicz was one of their thicker, heavier players rostered. My guess is likely either a nose or d-tackle in their 33 stack. He has enough size to hold his own one-on-one against opponents of any size; however, where Blachewicz is most disruptive is when he is moving horizontally, slanting and slicing into adjacent gaps. This was on display all afternoon where Blachewicz was knifing and ripping across the face of his matchup to create penetration. When he was not, he used his size and strength to attack his aligned shoulder and win. When he chose to slant, Blachewicz did a decent job fighting pressure as well to avoid creating a hypothetical lane.
