A tight end, Jackson has solid bend for someone his size. Blessed with his size, it is accompanied by strength – enough strength to level opposing linemen without even coming out of his hips. His strength up top allows him to also hold the point of attack should he be unable to get movement. With his good release, he gains a lot of ground quickly.

Millville might just have another one. James Jackson James Jackson 6'5" | 206 lbs | TE Millville | 2027 State NJ , a tight end, has all the requisite size you look for in a FBS prospect. At 6’5″ and 206lbs, Jackson has the size college coaches salivate over. The tape shows us that Jackson has decent bend for a sophomore at the time. Raw strength is a part of the equation too, as Jackson has enough kinetic force to level offensive linemen despite not yet coming as hips. This indicates that Jackson is extremely strong up top and can win with his raw strength. A good get off from the snap of the ball, he will immediately put defenders on skates should he take longer strides in his route running. When blocking, I wish to see him be more decisive and also take clear steps toward his matchup; at the moment he appears hesitant and pops up a bit out of his stance, rather than out.

With the Thunderbolts replacing Alabama signee Lotzeir Brooks and retooling the offense around QB Robbie O’Connor Robbie O’Connor 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Millville | 2027 State NJ , Jackson is in a prime position to emerge as a major piece in the passing game. If he grows into his tight end frame and adjusts quickly, he could become one of South Jersey’s breakout big targets in 2024.
