is one of those offensive tackle prospects you can’t help but take notice of. At 6’7”, 280 pounds, he checks all the boxes physically, but his grip strength and ability to control defenders in pass protection truly separate him.
Currently ranked as Prep RedZone’s No. 5 tackle, Marlen recently dropped a Top 7 that includes some serious national brands: North Carolina, Illinois, Texas A&M, Syracuse, Tennessee, Stanford, and Penn State.
If I’m reading the tea leaves, Penn State feels like the leader in the clubhouse. They have a strong track record developing linemen, and their Big Ten pedigree aligns well with what Marlen brings. But don’t sleep on Syracuse. Coach Fran Brown’s deep connections to North Jersey and aggressive in-state recruiting make the Orange a real contender.

, a towering 6’7”, 280-pound tackle, earns the Best Pass Protector superlative in the 2026 class. His tape shows why.
Bright plays with impressive pad level for his size. He stays low, keeps his hands ready to strike, and controls engagements from the snap. Few linemen his height maintain that kind of leverage. Even against power rushers, he holds his ground, absorbing contact without losing balance.
His footwork also stands out. Bright moves well laterally, mirroring edge rushers and keeping speed threats in check. His size, technique, and mobility make him a nightmare for defenders trying to get around the edge.
His stock continues to rise. After a strong offseason, he’s racked up offers from Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. Expect him to be one of the most sought-after offensive tackles in the 2026 class.
