In 2025 he was the driving force offensively for a Montclair Cobras team that reached the AYF National tournament. In late June, he earned an invitation to The Rize 2026. He recorded the quickest shuttle (4.34) and earned the crown of Fastest Man with a laser-timed 4.77 in the forty. For his efforts, he was selected First Team All-Camp.

Brothers with a prospect I once worked with years ago, former Virginia Tech defensive back Ny’Quee Hawkins, showed that athleticism is in his genes. When running hitch/curls, Hawkins did two things that I absolutely love from receivers: snap his hips, hard, and come back to attack the ball. Moreover, Hawkins has speed for days. Beating his defender with speed to the outside, his paired quarterback uncorked a ball that was way up field and out of bounds into the sideline, clearly out of bounds if we were on a true football field. That said, remarkably, Hawkins managed to track it down and still nearly caught it. The best way I can describe how fast Hawkins is, is that his hair was flowing as he picked up steam as if the wind was blowing into his face.

Another speedster in attendance at RIze, Nymir Hawkins Nymir Hawkins 5'5" | 138.5 lbs | WR DePaul Catholic | 2030 State NJ impressed from start to finish Saturday in Jackson, NJ. Running the second fastest 40 yard dash time at the event (4.77s), he followed up that performance by being crowned the Fastest Man at Rize with a win in a foot race against the other fastest players. That speed obviously translated extremely well onto the field, as Nymir consistently created separation with sudden movements, changes of speed, and the ability to accelerate and turn on the jets out of his break. Nymir is going to be one of those WRs that shakes a DB off a short route and proceeds to burn the rest of the defense on his way to the end zone.

He had some nice catches throughout the afternoon, and I was impressed with his use of hands and ability to gain separation on 1v1, and 7v7 routes. He has a ton of potential at the WR position, and displayed elite balance and fluid hips while chancing directions and making contortion catches.

Hymir Hawkins is a tough defensive back and wide out in the 2030 class out of the state of New Jersey. Hawkins is a kid that can flat out go, and he is a player you can rely on as a playmaker. He is the real deal and that’s why he is a part of the “RIZE” in New Jersey! He is the real deal so keep eyes locked on him during this big event!
